Prepping the Kickstarter

In preparation of the upcoming Kickstarter I am working round the clock to get the presentation ready.

Here is a sketch of the Frigate type ship that will become available as a higher reward level. Frigate is not a very accurate term to describe a ship design but I am going for this classic one where you basically have one large deck. I will probably make an optional upper deck at the stern for some variety. And then you can populate the deck will all the deck structures available. Also I will make options for different gun ports settings. So there will be lots of different looks just with these factors.

And speaking of availability, I will add the existing ships also as add-ons to the KS, so you, my loyal Patrons, can catch-up on all the ships you have missed here if you want specific ones and are not enticed with the big packages :-) Just want to make sure you don't have to pay twice for anything you have supported me here!!!

I also completed the next basic bits. It will be "buckets and tubs". They should work well with both the ships and farm or village setting and will come on the 15th as usual.

So until then, have fun and keep building!

I use Sharpies and they aren't ideal. Getting the right colors often means buying large packages containing colors I will never use. Finding gray, brown, and/or tan alone or in the same packs can be as much of a challenge as using their rather broad "fine" points. Their one stellar point is their price. They are extremely useful for edging figures and they make several wide tipped markers good for coloring the back sides of projects where broad expanses of white might show otherwise. Using them to cover score lines takes practice but is achievable, just don't slip. More than one of my otherwise good-looking projects has a stray black line where my hand slipped. They only bleed through on thin paper or if you hold them in place way too long.

Thanks for the reply! I check them out on Amazon, and they are $20 including shipping just for one marker. So US/UK alternatives would be appreciated if anyone has any suggestions.

Not sure if that is a bran you can get, but I use Edding 30 or 33 as they are anti-bleed. I also use other Edding pens but you can see the difference in bleeding very much. The others tend to bleed quite but and the 30/33 not a bit. But maybe others can chime in what they use in the UK or US?

Sounds awesome! I have a quick question that's slightly off topic to the post above. Sometimes, I struggle with finding a good marker or brand of markers to color the edge of my paper crafts. What do you recommend as a good brand and with minimal bleeding? Thanks in advance!
