2D decks anyone?

I saw the plans for the "Ghost" ship of the upcoming DnD adventure book and thought I try if I can make a quick adaptation with the elements I have created for my ships.
And then it struck me: I could easily do simple 2D decks of my own ships! Is there interest for such a version? It would be very quick to "build" so it could be great for the not-so-much into crafting ...
Let me know what you think about this. This could even apply to floor plans of buildings too.
And also 3D advanced version of the cannons coming up next in the basic bits series!
