What's next?

On the surface the release of the ships, both 3D and 2D have been keeping me quite busy the last weeks and months. They have been my biggest success so far in terms of quantity of sales and I hope they will help make my work become more known in the Tabletop community and get me closer to my goal of making a living with this kind of work.

Although you haven't seen much of it lately, in the background I have been rethinking how I need to work in the future and the "Basic Bits" series has been the most prominent change.

In this series for the next months I have these items planned - and feel free to always point out new things I could do.

But of course I want to continue making larger models (buildings, vehicles etc). Right now I am in the process of compiling sketches for various "themes" and starting to get them in a shape where I break down the buildings, sizes and architectural elements I will need. This helps me to plan out future sets and in which sequence I can make them best.

Among these are

With each building I try to make them somewhat generic so that for example an Island Pirate shack could also be used as a Tropical settlement.

And then I still have the Ships Kickstarter planned for the big ships. Originally I have only planned for a Galleon and Frigate but I have also found the mediterranean Corsair pirate ships very interesting. Learning more about KS I think it is best to move that to after the summer holidays where there is more chance of presence and interaction with the interested. So it's not forgotten but just delayed to a (hopefully) better time.

Watching me work this year must look a bit chaotic - and to some degree it was and is - but I think the changes were required both by feedback of you guys and also allowing me to work a bit more strategic as compared to the last year.

I hope this little update will get you excited for all the things I have planned. If you have ideas or focus points to the themes I have presented, please let me know in the comments or via DM.

That's it for today. Until next time, have fun and keep building!

Chris
