This months basic bit will be a handcart!
Added 2019-08-15 13:27:36 +0000 UTCI have the free and simple and the advanced version done but I will need another day to create the instructions.
The simple one is really easy and fast to build, so if you need a couple in your village that's the way to go.
But then I wanted a more detailed version :-) The biggest challenge was the wheel(s). For the main assembly I just prepared a file where I added some detail parts of the texture as extra parts and then mounted it all on stronger cardboard. I then doubled up the details and looks great at this stage plus it's very sturdy.
For the wheels I designed some "sliced" parts that I would glue together. I printed them on 300gsm/0,5mm strong paper. These are the parts for two wheels.
When I put them together (all with nice colored edges) They look like this ...
I even added the hub details!
So the final version with the 3D wheels turned out great (if you want to put that effort into a model).
The only thing I would change now is to add more thickness to the handles. They still look a bit thin. But that is easy to solve.
So expect the release of the basic bit tomorrow!
