DELETED VIDEO - "How to Make Someone Think You Care About Them"

This is the first (of many) deleted videos I am only comfortable sharing with my inner circle. It is called "How to Make Someone Think You Care About Them."

This video was originally uploaded in December 2022 but I deleted it within an hour. The reason was because it ended up being almost identical to a popular bit from The Office.

Sometimes I'll post a video thinking it is an original idea, then people will start commenting where they've seen the idea before, and if this happens I like to delete them. Which is a shame, because I liked this one at the time.

Being original (enough) is very important me so if the video is too derivative of an existing concept I make sure to delete it.

It's interesting to look back on this video because I personally think my style has evolved a lot since then. In this era of video I dubbed the "lifehack" era my main goal was to think of a funny solution to a common problem that anyone could implement, was realistic, and would feasibly work.

I hadn't done much work building out the character past that and they weren't as dark as they are now. Plus I was still presenting them from a second person perspective (here's what YOU should do).
