I don't even know what to type here about this episode without spoiling or hinting towards anything accidentally, so I think this sentence is all I will say. 😅 [Direct link here.]

Ah, okay, well kudos to them for planning all this out. It's incredible writing.

It was always going to be 3 seasons.

Okay as much as I hated Ulrich initially, Helene is at the tippy-top of my shit list now. Imagine, you get beat by your mother as a child/teen just to grow up and be bludgeoned to death by her. Wow. I'm really needing to take a few minutes after this one and let things sink in. Speaking on how much is being packed into season 3, I wonder if this was always planned to be a three-season story or if they had to cram everything into the final season because of threat of cancellation? Then again, I can't really imagine another whole season so, maybe it was planned.

What makes the casting so great is not only do they get similar looking actors, but they each do a great job of copy each other's mannerisms and behaviors. This one was wild! I mean in Tannhauser's case, the idea that mother and daughter and mother and daughter bring their mother and self to him to be raised without them? BRAIN EXPLOSION!

Yeah this episode was a WILD one.

It’s been four years since I’ve seen this season, so a lot is fuzzy and I’m pretty sure I couldn’t explain all of the comings and goings without this rewatch. But there are a few things from this season that I won’t forget and as we started the season I started to think that most of them were all in the same insane episode. I see the thumbnail and immediately think ‘yup, this must be that episode.’ Might be my favourite episode of the series. I hear what you were (not) saying about Jonas, but also that was like the third or fourth craziest thing that happened in this episode. I can see why it wasn’t front of mind. I also laughed at your comment about how are they going to wrap all of this up in three more episodes… I mean, they are killing off main characters at a prodigious rate here.

Yes, totally makes sense now!

I always give the casting director props for this show, but in the case of Peter the young actor is actually the son of the older actor in real life!
