So glad you loved season 3! The Maveth arc is one of my favourites of the show with 4,722 hours, Many Heads One Tale and Maveth being standout episodes. Season 3b is is great despite the fact that they lost several actors mid season and had to re-write the story according. Having said that I would have loved to see how the season would have played out if Will had returned from Maveth, Bobbi & Hunter had stayed and Joey stayed on as part of Daisy's Secret Warriors team. And so onto season 4...excited to hear your thoughts. Enjoy.

Regarding how Hive didn't seem like "Hive" at the end in the quinjet, I always thought of it as him being burdenless and has dropped all the baggage of his mission and the only thing left was for him to contemplate the one thing he never has since his existence, his own death. I feel that we all would be different than normal, facing imminent death, especially if we've never thought about our own mortality beforehand. "Are you familiar with the works of Shan Yu?"😁

To answer your question on hive being dead yes I am going to answer; maybe maybe not

Another finale down! So yep, we find out Daisy really did want to rejoin Hive. Going through the withdrawal of his sway, combined with the memories of what she did whilst under it, is just too much for her to cope with at the moment - and although being under his sway takes away her agency, at least she wouldn't feel as awful. She's really been through some trauma over these three seasons: she's been shot and nearly died as a result, gained powers that caused her significant harm initially, found and lost both her parents - with the last act of her mother being trying to kill her, resulting in having to try to kill her mother in self defence, and ultimately being saved by having her father kill her mother in front of her - and that all happened *prior* to this season. Lincoln's not even the first person to die for her - there was Trip back when she got her powers, and you can argue that Cal also died for her in a way. Lincoln's purpose is finally revealed - he's the one in the quinjet, though we still get a little bit of hot potato with the cross necklace first. The radio goodbye is well done and really emotional, and I also like the conversation between Hive and Lincoln. I do believe that Hive really did want to make the world better in his own way - he thought that by joining everyone together through his sway would end conflict in the world - it's just that he didn't want to give anyone a choice in the matter. Mack finally has his shotgun axe! Incidentally, Blindwave have one of the shotgun axe props from the end of show auction (you cannot watch their video on that until the show is done though). We've set up quite a few things for S4: Daisy seems to have gone rogue, Coulson's no longer in charge, and Radcliffe is starting up a new project based on "an old SHIELD program" - I'm sure everything will be fine... After you've seen 4x01, you can safely watch Iain and Elizabeth's and Chloe and Brett's screen tests on YT (I mean, you can watch them now, but they were released for S4 with S4 specific teaser branding at the end, so waiting a week is safer): - Iain and Elizabeth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv0gw4AwmNA - Brett and Chloe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZMTl_XEeDc

Your afterthoughts and highlights of the season brought to light how much I actually like this season! It was definitely better than I remembered. The only thing I really didn't like were the "Primitives" abominations that Radcliffe made. They just looked a bit ridiculous and both over-the-top and campy to me. Seeing Chloe Bennet's acting in these tough emotional scenes, versus the first couple episodes of season 1, there's a massive improvement there. I'm very much looking forward to season 4!

I have to say, that scene with the last conversation between Daisy and Lincoln definitely hold its own against the last conversation between Cap and Peggy on Captain America 1. They're both similar and really well done.

Hell yeah! Can't wait.

Season 3 definitely is a great season and it really is the season of lost love and connections. Fitz started the season without his love but over the course of the season they form a romantic relationship once she gets back from Maveth. Simmons loses Will and Coulson loses Rosalind in the first half of the season. Mack loses his best friends Bobbi and Hunter in the middle of the season. May loses Andrew and Daisy loses Lincoln at the end of the season. Hive's one true desire was to share a connection with someone and he sort of got that with Lincoln at the end when he accepted his fate. There is something so creative about the way the first half of the season had people jumping from above into "hell" (Fitz and Coulson into the portals to Maveth) and the second half focusing on ascending to "heaven". The actions of the shield team this season lead to the "Devil" coming to earth. Lincoln was completely innocent but made a choice to sacrifice himself to get rid of Hive completing the Jesus metaphor.

So we got both of my TV girlfriend’s love interests dying in the same episode, Big W! Jk jk 🤣 They tease Daisy’s comic superhero name, a new Shield Hierarchy, and AIDA. Good shit! Season 4 is my favorite out of the 7. Seasons 4,5 & 7 are my top 3 so now we are getting into the good shit in my opinion.
