The true horror is realizing how large a wealth gap can be, and how far some people will go to try to survive. Keep in mind also that the poor family is not lazy. They were already working to make ends meet, and when life did throw them a single freaking bone, they did actually work hard to make the most of it. The mom was a good housekeeper, the dad was a good chauffeur, the son was actually teaching the one kid English, and the daughter (despite lying about being an "art psychologist" or whatever) was actually helping get their other kid's behaviour in check and focus on his art. They're only "bad people" in that they were desperate and took extreme actions to secure something that would've otherwise been beyond their reach.

2025-03-05 23:07:14 +0000 UTCI watched this recently for the first time a couple months ago after putting it off for so long and let me tell you, I was yelling to the TV like it was a boxing match. Movie was wild! Definitely something i could re-watch multiple times. And that ending was so perfect.
