Hello everyone! I'm so happy we had this episode happen now. 😊 [Direct link here.]
Def so intrigued by the setup for this season and I already thought of a new theory after watching this, but I'll share when I get into Episode 3 next week.
Please enjoy!

I'm a lil slow on my comments this time but here it is...
Season 4...
We get Rogue Daisy/Quake due to the events going on with the end of season 3 and with the accords.
We have Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider which deservers to be Ghost rider in MCU movies IMO.
We have a new Inhuman Leader of Sheild and Agent Coulson again !
We get Higher up Simmons showing a new side of skills from her...
We have Fitz and The DR with a human like advanced AI Aida
We have Ghost like people infecting others making them go crazy and mention of the Darkhold....
What else can they add too season 4....
so much so good !

Like you also mentioned during your reaction, I'm so glad you have such little knowledge about the Marvel comics, so you get to be surprised. Of course, the MCU does change stuff around and combines lore or rewrites things to fit better, but to have absolutely no knowledge about the Ghost Rider, is a great jumping in point for this season!
I'd wager until 2008, the Ghost Rider was a much more well-known character in pop-culture consciousness than Iron Man. 😂
In the mainstream MCU, the Darkhold doesn't get mentioned until WandaVision (and then becomes a major plot point in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness). So Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was "ahead of its time" on that one, for sure!

Well, I tried to stay up for the episode, but had to call it quits at 4am!
We have our new Inhuman (!) director, complete with a catchphrase - "A team that trusts is a team that triumphs". God that kind of corporate team-building motivational nonsense would really piss me off. Apparently Cap would have been a contender to be the new director if he weren't 'AWOL' - got to say, I don't think he'd make a good director of SHIELD, for a number of reasons (not that there was a chance of it happening out-of-universe anyway).
So AoS seems to be delving into magic, with the Darkhold playing a role. As Thadman mentioned, the Darkhold isn't introduced in the 'mainstream' MCU until WandaVision - however, when we see the library of Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange, there is an empty space amongst the 'dangerous' books that I believe was confirmed to be intended to be where the Darkhold once was stored. We get a little more information on the ghost from last episode, and the reveal that there are more of them. Also, Robbie is able to interact with them, which 'normal' people can't do without going insane.
Coulson's remarks about 'many stories about' Agent Carter during the tour were taken by a lot of fans as a dig at ABC for cancelling Agent Carter, as that happened during the break between S3 and S4.
Like you, I knew nothing from the comics when watching originally (still don't TBH - just odd bits of trivia), and I do think that that's a benefit - means no preconceived notions of who characters are and what possible story plots might be.

Introduction of magic to AoS and the Darkhold gives you an idea that it is after magic was introduced in the MCU (Doctor Strange) 'cause the show did not lead the movies and the movie and TV divisions weren't conferring a lot by this time, so they knew basic things about what the movies were doing, but not a lot of details about where they were planning on heading. But yeah, the show would not introduce something as major as magic into the MCU without it being introduced in the movies first. They introduced Inhumans because they'd already introduced the Kree in the movies and it was a comic book thing related to the Kree and they couldn't do X-Men at the time. The president of Marvel Television wanted to introduce Inhumans, basically, so he could sell toys. Apparently he was a big toy guy. Kevin Feige didn't have any plans to introduce them into the MCU, so I assume that drove an even bigger rift between the two divisions. Hopefully though, they will eventually introduce them into the MCU (well, more than the snippet we saw in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) so they could bring some of the AoS characters to the big screen. They already brought Jarvis, from Agent Carter, in for a cameo in Endgame. The Darkhold wasn't introduced into the larger MCU until Agatha had it in "WandaVision," but it was done here first, so when Agatha mentioned it, I said, "Uh oh, we don't wanna be messin' with THAT."

Daisy was using her powers too much and causing herself to get fractures in her arms (like Yo-Yo was warning her about), so even though she was taking that medication to hasten healing, she keeps using her powers and that's why she didn't immediately break out when Robbie had her tied up. It was also easier when she just wanted to talk to him and get info. That's why when she did break out, she grabbed her arms. I can only imagine how all those vibrations hurt with fractures. Yowch.

I feel you in that last scene, but in my case I would like to be in the drivers sit and have Chloe Bennet by my side hahaha

Ghost rider's transformation is so well done. Everytime I see it I just get so hyped.
You see the effects of last season and the civil war have caused Shield to adapt. The government is fully incorporated into shield and they want to eventually go back to the public eye.
Rules and regulations with powered people and the return of things being classified is frustrating.
Coulson spent so much time becoming so different from the man we knew at the start of the MCU . He followed the company orders without question.
Being forced to return to that status must feel horrible.

Knowing what’s coming, it’s interesting hearing your theories. When I watched this, I just thought Director Mace was corny haha but he seems nice. You saying it the New SHIELD is like a corporation, it actually reminded me of the Air Force. We had to do those dog and pony shows for high profile visitors too and they had “motivational” and team building phrases like Director Mace uses.
UNRELATED TO AOS: I saw something on Twitter a couple days ago and it was hilariously bad. Someone showed a trailer to a cancelled Live Action Powerpuff Girls show and Chloe Bennett was in it. I can’t describe it but I think everyone should watch it.

Jason O'Mara, another "oh that guy" actor. I gained a lot of respect for him after he voiced Batman in some of the newer DC animations and his role in The Man in the High Castle. The first thing I saw him in though was Resident Evil: Extinction and his Life on Mars US remake. All in all, great actor whose talents often go underappreciated.
LOVE Daisy pressing Robbie's buttons just seeing how long she can get away with it and how far he'll let her go LOL
