Amazing!!! That's so wonderful, thanks for sharing.

This was a great reaction. I just wanted to follow up with your comment about learning to play drums. A month before my 49th birthday I bought a drum kit off of Facebook for $80. I had never played drums or even learned how to play any musical instrument. After 3 years of learning to play and practicing, I recently auditioned and will now be playing drums for my church. Don't ever think you can't learn to play drums. You just have to have the desire and willingness to do it.

Great reaction Kaiielle, one of the best for this film

Really like Whiplash, absolutely LOVE La La Land, and am one of the few people that liked Babylon even though it’s crazy long. Damian Chazelle is an amazing director

little did Andrew know, Melissa Benoist would become Supergirl and find her own success lol Phenomenal film. There's times when I see a character like Fletcher and I start thinking about what if he met other characters that have his mindset. Fletcher vs Dr House would be entertaining for sure. Miles Teller is insanely talented and brilliant. He put in a lot of literal blood and sweat into this role

This movie gives me anxiety, but in a good way (if that makes sense) I used to play guitar and was in a metal jam band in the early 2000s. We never played and shows or anything but we use to practice in an old bomb shelter so that was definitely a unique experience.

Love this movie. JK Simmons was terrifying and his methods were monstrous. What is so interesting is that his character wins at the end. You can see in his expression that he feels vindicated by Andy's performance. This raises the questions about whether his methods were justified, I don't think so (I think what happens to Sean Casey proves it), but he did get the result he wanted. What i wonder is whether Andy won also? Yes, he seemed to become the drummer he dreamed of being. And a movie where the two main characters get what they want feels like it should be a happy ending. But it did not exactly feel happy to me (even though it did feel good that he showed Fletcher up.) At what cost is his success to his person and his relationships? Was he dooming himself to a life alone and maybe an early death, like his musical heroes? And will this lead Fletcher and others to continue these methods on the musicians to come?

Absolutely phenomenal movie. J.K. Simmons is so terrifyingly fucking good, and Miles Teller embodies that agonizing drift towards an empty soul on his way to becomng 'great'. Will watch this movie any time...unless, that is, I don't have time. Shit. I fucked that up. Whatever. Goooooooood shit.

Whiplash reminded me why I love movies in a way no other movie had done before. Miles Teller is a force of nature at the drums and J.K. Simmons 1000% deserved the Oscar for this role. The short movie that came first is free on Youtube, also starring JK Simmons, but someone else was playing Andrew in that. It's a fun watch to see what stayed in and what was changed for the full movie later. I don't have much more to say other than: Thank you so much for watching this and I hope that everyone enjoys your reaction 😊
