2025-06-23 20:59:59 +0000 UTCYeah, the events of Secret Invasion being mentioned is something that would have been nice to help connect things. We go from Fury being angry and motivated, to super silly. Kree/Skrull war would be cool to see. Maaaaybe one day!

2025-06-23 15:13:41 +0000 UTCMarvel really dropped the ball on the Cosmic storylines in Marvel. Don't get me wrong this movie is a improvement over the Captain Marvel film and the team dynamics really help flesh out the real Carol personality but I feel the main plot and villain were not very interesting. Also the lack of any acknowledgement of Secret Invasion's events really made the series a waste. Carol was friends with the Skrulls and would care about Talos death but no mention from Fury just dumb Cat flerken jokes. Think about this the Movies have done a pretty decent job of setting up the Skrull side of the story and Agents of shield has set up the Kree side and how it connects to earth. (Inhumans are failed experiments by the Kree which they wanted to help fight the Skrulls) If the People at marvel actually used what they have they could create a awesome War movie in space with real stakes for Earth if the Kree find out that inhumans live there. Kamala is inhuman in the comics (tho not confirmed in the MCU) so that would add a personal stakes for Carol as she would want to protect her as well. The Kree Skrull War in the comics is pretty big and we have enough set up to really do something in the MCU as well. It could be one movie maybe Captain Marvel 3 I don't know.
