I'd be really curious to know your thoughts on these movies during your rewatch. I hope you find the time and the desire to share them with us.

Following the box office reception, Iman Vellani responded by saying that there’s no point in focusing on something that’s beyond her control. That’s Bob Iger’s problem. She genuinely had fun making the movie and was happy with the finished product. She also suggested a way to restore the hype level, and that’s by having characters pair up every now and then until they eventually form the next main squad. The Skrulls’ part in this movie further made me feel like Secret Invasion was a waste of time. Valkyrie could’ve easily welcomed them into New Asgard right from the beginning. Believe it or not, Monica would’ve gotten a codename by the end of the movie. It didn’t make the final cut, but she would’ve adopted the moniker Photon in honor her late mother since that was her pilot codename. @2:15 By the way, Zawe Ashton is currently engaged to our God of Stories Tom Hiddleston. They have one child together, and they’re expecting a second child soon.

I quite enjoyed this movie and it's one of those that had to deal with a lot of pre-release review bombing, that and the fact that you do have to have seen both WandaVision and Ms. Marvel (which I do not find as homework or anything like that. I mean, if you want to watch the movies, why wouldn't you want to watch a TV show based on the characters that might give you a deeper dive?). The cats thing was silly, but humorous and I like that this embraced the goofiness (but didn't go too overboard) of certain things in the Marvel Universe because it all is part of the whole. Like the musical people IS from the comics. 🤣 Comics do be gettin' weird at times. But, I feel this movie, like the first Ant-Man, was just pure fun and not everything has to be... monumental. Carol is a hard character, from what I've seen, in the comics and is the most...militaristic (?) hero I can recall, even more than Captain America. I think a lot of people find her hard to relate to, in part, because of that but also because she's not very social. I like that variety of characters and this movie has a good variety of characters and how they think and relate to others. If they weren't entangled, it'd be hard to imagine these three characters hanging out and I liked that they were kinda forced to and forced to accept each other the way they are and respect and appreciate their differences. LOVE Kamala and her family. They are some of the best additions to the MCU, IMHO. I saw interviews with the creators of Kamala Khan and they said that when she was created, they originally saw her as a mutant, but that was when Marvel was having issue (that I don't know much about) with the rights for mutants and, I think, getting tired of dealing with FOX and were kinda phasing them out, or trying to, and thought they could sort of fill the void with Inhumans. From what I hear though, since they got the X-Men and mutants back under Marvel control instead of with FOX, they've made Kamala a mutant in the comics. I'm not sure, but she may be one of the few that is both a mutant AND and Inhuman, so they don't have to retcon her. I remember that was the case with Pietro (Quicksilver). I didn't read the story where that happpen, that he went through terragenesis, but I know it changed his abilities.
