Fury | Full Reaction

Hi everyone! Continuing the theme of World War II movies, I jumped into Fury with a little more knowledge about the darkness of War and left with even more. I think my favorite part about this film was the phenomenal acting done by the entire Fury crew.

I'm a little late but if a soldier is caught wearing another country's uniform is considered a spy which means to be executed on the spot.

Watching this movie now for the second time here, one of the big things I was really able to appreciate even better was just how good, specifically, the non-verbal acting is. You touched on it a lot too, but the eyes, the expressions, the faces, reactions, and tones of voice. It really showed so well how each character is impacted by the war, and how each is coping with its horrors. So much said, with so few words The fight against the Tiger tank never gets old... second watch and still find myself holding my breath. Loved this full react! Thank you for it

Every time I re-watch these movies/series (Saving Private Ryan, Hacksaw Ridge, Fury, Band of Brothers, etc.) I'm reminded how hard it is to pick a favorite movie of all time. What gets me is their faith and conviction (I'm also a believer, same as you). Just like how Harold Doss said of his brother, Desmond Doss, that his conviction is not a joke. Conviction like that does not come from your own desire to do the right thing, it comes from the highest authority. Shia LaBeouf's character was also my favorite, cemented by his revelation of why he chose to fight in the first place (and my favorite quote in the movie - especially his delivery of it): Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us? And I said, Here am I; send me." There's no question that those who fight for our freedom are heroes, but so often we overlook the source of their strength and conviction. Desmond Doss always reminded everybody he spoke to that the glory did not belong to him. I would very much like to honor and respect his wish.
