Halloween Patreon Exclusive!
Added 2024-10-24 17:18:36 +0000 UTCHey!
So I have to be super honest with you all. I sat down to watch/record The Conjuring and couldn't make it past 30 minutes lol... I am a CHICKEN. And I thought I could handle it by telling myself it is just a movie, but I absolutely could not hahaha
I'm embarrassed.. But I was thinking I could watch a thriller/funny scary movie on Patreon with you all on Halloween instead! So, I'd love any suggestions for a thriller-type movie that won't make me have nightmares for weeks and probably wreck my life for awhile :)
I'll take all your suggestions and put them in a poll this weekend!
This will be a Patreon Exclusive set for the morning of October 31st. So, if you're like me and don't love going out into the crowds on Halloween night, you'll have something to chill and look forward to instead :)

My mind went immediately to the original "Scary Movie" when you said i want to watch a funny/scary movie LOL. But i guess that could be a little extreme :D I guess if you really want a thriller/funny movie than i would recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Shutter Island also more creepy than scary. Good little mystery to it as well. Zodiac is another good one. All of those would be plenty safe for you, I would bet.

It sounds cruel, but another reactor initially said the same thing, then after awhile said they were becoming desensitized to the point where they would be able to handle the scarier stuff. By the time they reacted to the scary stuff, their reaction was kinda boring. Don't worry about the conjuring (I wasn't overly impressed with it myself). But, please watch Hereditary before becoming desensitized. That reaction will be worth it's runtime in gold!

2024-10-24 18:08:31 +0000 UTCThe 6th Sense is an absolute classic with Bruce Willis. Slightly creepy thriller, but not scary at all Get Out is amazing too, and I'm already seeing several others recommending it. 98% on rotten tomatoes, and overall very highly praised. Definitely a little creepy at times, but not at all a horror movie that's designed to scare you lol. I saw it in theaters with no problems. Split is another psychological thriller I enjoyed And also, respect to you for trying The Conjuring LOL. No shame in throwing in the towel on that one

2024-10-24 17:48:39 +0000 UTCMight be too tame for the folks who enjoy horror films (I no longer watch pure horror films), but Iβd recommend The Monster Squad (1987). Classic Universal monsters vs. a group of kids. Plenty of theme but I watched it as a kid and ever since with no hits to my sleep schedule.
