Band Of Brothers Full Reaction | Part Ten: Points

I can't believe I am already at the last episode of this incredible series. Seeing Easy Company’s journey come to an end was an emotional ride—there’s something so powerful about the friendships and bonds they formed through everything they went through. It was a perfect way to wrap up their story, leaving me feeling grateful and inspired by all they endured together. Thank you for watching my journey through the series! I'll be watching We Stand Alone Together next :)

Hitler killed himself in a bunker in Berlin. That was just a SS officer.

Oops I hit send haha. But very interesting about Spiers! I want to read the books sometime hopefully this summer. I should be done with LoTR and a few others I've wanted to squeeze in by then.

I'm glad you enjoyed them!! This mini series was so well done and definitely not easy to watch, but I took away soooo much food for thought and inspiration out of this series. I love the Documentary ending and the way they did it all! And very interesting about

Kali Wali

Just wanted to say I watched episodes nine and 10 and the documentary with you. Great job as always. Not easy ones to watch, but it was fun and I could tell you were really emotional after. Keep up the fantastic work just an FYI about I’d say from what I heard or read myself about 90% of the stories about spears are true maybe a little less but a good number of them

Thats also the point, when we see sobel in episode 10. At the end Winters as Major outranked Sobel as Captain. Sobel did not want to salute him, cause he now had a higher rank than him. Thats why winters said, we salute the rank, not the man.

Wow.. That makes this encounter so much more meaningful. Thank you for the added context!

Some side facts about the german officers we see in the series. The officer that Nixon saw in the picture in episode 9 was either a major or a lieutenant colonel, hard to say without seeing the shoulder boards. The officer who surrendered to winters was a colonel, highest rank of the field officers and one under brigadier-general. Based on the fact, that the colonel had a higher rank than winters, normally winters would have saluted him first, but as a matter of respect he saluted the lower ranked officer first. And the general who surrendered to lipton was a major general based on what i can see on the shoulder boards. So the german general was atleast six ranks above lipton.

Wow this is beautiful. And I'm 1000% sure you made your grandpa very proud! Thank you so much for sharing your granfather's stories! He sounds like an extremely brave hero.

I absolutely loved your reactions to BoB series as many here have already mentioned. BoB is one of the best stories to film I’ve ever seen. My grandfather was on Midway Island when it was attacked. He use to tell me stories about that day when I was a kid. He passed away when I was younger, but I have never forgotten the stories he told me about being in the Army Air Corp, now the U.S. Air Force. When BoB came out all those stories and memories of him came flooding back. I made a promise to myself I would try and lead a life like my grandpa did. I joined the Army two weeks after high school. Graduated from basic training then Military Police School. For some crazy reason I decided to try Air Assault training (dope on a rope) for those who know that saying. I was honorably discharged after four years. I think my grandpa would have been proud of me. Keep up the great reactions.

Yes! I hope to jump into that one very soon.

The pacific is another really good tv series made by the same person who made this. Same war but on the ground in Japan

I'm really glad they made a documentary to finish out the series! I can't wait to watch it this weekend. I was editing BoB episode 9 for YouTube yesterday and even though this series had so many difficult moments; I'll miss my time in it.

Kali Wali

Yes definitely watch the follow-up documentary "We Stand Alone Together", you get a lot more interviews from many other members of Easy Company you didn't see before each episode. Sadly all of Easy Company have passed away, and this summer marked 80 years since World War 2 came to an end.

Robert Durant

What!! I definitely have to give "Jaws" a watch now knowing this awesome fun fact. Very cool and thank you for sharing!

Kali Wali

Wow, thank you so much- For watching this incredible series alongside me and also for your service! I can't wait to finish my time in this series with the documentary! See you there :)

This episode was such a beautiful send-off to this entire series! I love how each episode wasn't done exactly the same and took us into a deep dive of each soldier's mental wellbeing during their 300+ day journey. Each episode felt like a new piece of art with the way it was directed and showcased. It'll be hard to look at another series with such awe and respect as this one. And thank you so much for being here enjoying it alongside me! It's always awesome hearing your responses because they always resonate mine exactly! 😂

Kali Wali

Oh wow, awesome suggestion! I'll definitely be looking into that when I have some free time later in the week. I'm really looking forward to the documentary as well. I think it'll be the perfect way to end my time in this incredible series. Thank you for enjoying this series alongside me!

Winters is such an incredible man! I also feel the same way after watching the Veterans speak about their accomplishments in such a selfless way- To always strive to be better, but always look out for those around you. Glad you enjoyed this journey here as much as I did! I can't wait to jump into the documentary as a sweet goodbye to this incredible series.

Kali Wali

"Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" Grandpa said "no, but I served in a company of heroes." That line gets me every time. What an amazing man and leader Winters was, as well as so many of Easy Company. It inspires me and motivates me to try and be the best person I can be. Great reaction and thank you for taking us through it.

Thanks, Kali for such a beautiful reaction to the series! I’m very eager to rewatch the documentary when you post it later in the week. For your personal rewatch, I would suggest checking out the Reel History YouTube channel which is run by a historian who did an episode-by-episode reaction of his own, throwing in historical anecdotes and clarifying changes/errors in the series. Also, the physical media has some extra behind the scenes content and a watchmode which includes additional facts and context along the way.

I don’t think any piece of media has made me feel as intense emotions of relief and elation as this episode. After all of the struggles and horrors that we’ve seen the war throw at these men, we finally got to take a deep breath and just relax (for the most part at least). Really loved how they ended this one too Thank you so much for your amazing reaction to this series. Watching it along with you was my second time going through this series, and I really feel like I took so much more away from it now, and gained a deeper appreciation. Owed in large part to all of the insight you provided throughout. It’s been very enjoyable spending my Wednesday nights here the last few months :)

One of, or if not the best reaction to this series. I have watched a lot of reactions to this. You said one of the best things, why didn't we learn this in HS. Sad isn't it. You showed great respect throughout, and as a veteran much appreciated. Look forward to Sunday, We Stand Alone Together brings it all home. Great job!!

David Webster's book about sharks that was mentioned in episode was titled "Myth and Maneater: The story of the shark". Another writer read this book and was inspired to write his own book about a shark. That book was so good they turned it into a movie. This movie was one of the earliest directing credits for a particular director who turned out to have a really good career. Not only did he direct movies, he eventually became a producer and one of his producing credits was the show "Band of Brothers". The book and author inspired by David Webster's shark book is "Jaws" by Peter Benchley. The director of "Jaws" and a producer of "Band of Brothers" is Steven Spielberg. In a way, David Webster helped Steven Spielberg's career.
