Added 2024-12-06 18:15:24 +0000 UTCOkay, hear me out. I know Thor: The Dark World (similar to Iron Man 3) gets a bit of flack, but I loved it. The aesthetic? Perfectly moody. The sibling drama? Great. And honestly, I’ll take any excuse to watch Loki being chaotic while Thor does his whole brooding hero thing. Maybe I’m just a sucker for elves and a good love story, but hey, sometimes a movie doesn’t need to be perfect to be your vibe! I hope you all enjoy this one as well!

Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 were considered the worst of the 22 movies MCU did leading up to End Game. I know for Iron Man 3 comic fans didn't like that the Mandarin was portrayed as a joke by having him be an actor, in the comics he was a serious bad guy. As for Thor 2, I think fans were expecting it to be more light humor like the first movie, instead they got more of a serious story. That said, compared to the MCU movies after End Game, Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 are masterpieces.

Enjoy it, I really look forward to your reaction. And yes about black widows fighting being a violent ballet lol very good description 💯‼️ Oh and I loved the graphic you used for your ranking. That was good with their image at the bottom and then the rank. Also there are some great characters to be introduced yet. It just keeps getting better IMO. I've heard a buzz around here that it's one of the better movies in Phase 2 ✨ As for the rest of your favorites, veeeerry much agree! I wanted to score Black Widow & Hwakeye but I haven't gotten a feel for them just yet. I love the way Black Widow fights bc it's like watching violent ballet hahaha. Hawkeye also seems like a character I can see myself loving as well! I'm a little sad to see he doesn't have his own movie, but I guess a show is just as good too lol. Thank you for sharing this! I can't wait for Captain America tomorrow!

Also, never was a fighter and dislike bullies so he appeals to me for those reasons. 2 Iron Man- I wish i had his quick wit and humor. His maturity has been a great character arc. 3 Thor- Love his character arc and maturity also and he becomes more and more humble as he grows. Always putting others 1st unlike his start in the 1st movie 4 Hawkeye- No special powers but still as much of a bad ass as the others. Always there to help and support the team. Not a major character and doesn't get a lot of focus early on but still vital to the team. 5 Black Widow- Just a bad ass take charge person who wants to do the right thing but will get dirty if needed. Also, she's easy on the eyes, like you ☺️ While I like the way Mark Ruffalo plays the character, I'm not a fan of The Hulk. He has good character growth as the MCU goes on but just not a favorite. Did not care for the Hulk movie, not a fan of Edward Norton, so maybe that has something to do with it. They all play a key, vital role in the grand scheme of the group though

LOL I have a feeling it'll be hard to take Iron Man off that number one spot for me. Especially after Iron Man 3. But I'm really excited to meet new Avengers and get more of their story! I did see Guardians Of The Galaxy in theatres when it came out, but I honestly remember none of it other than the music being amazing! I was trying to make friends and they were all going to see it so I decided to tag along lol. It'll be awesome going into that one knowing what I know now! Loki is soooo easy to hate. But then he does something that makes you think "hmm. maybe he will change?" I lost all of that curiosity in Avengers though honestly. This movie I wasn't getting sucked into his victimization as easily. But wow, I did not see those plot twists coming 😱

I've seen a ton of people getting excited for that one coming next so I'm ready to see a movie that the fan base actually loved immediately to compare it to these two! Phase 2 is kind of when I stopped watching these movies as they released, and jumped in and out only for the big releases like Avengers (which was a terrible idea btw LOL), so for the most part, this movie and everything after I’m going to be experiencing first time with you! So I’ll definitely keep tabs on my favorites as we go too. Iron Man #1 by a mile haha. Tony’s my guy. Then probably Black Widow after him. And I’m totally not saying that bc of Scarlet Johansson…. totally not hahaha I really liked this one! Would have had no idea it got hate from fans and critics. Especially liked Thor and Loki's dynamic. Loki is so easy to hate, with how well acted he is, but I love seeing the ups and downs in those brother's relationship

I am really pumped for the next one, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is my absolute favorite. My list of favorites starts with 1. Captain America 2. Iron Man, I'm skipping the rest because you haven't me them yet but Thor is 5 or 6. The best is yet to come imo of course. I'm glad you like this one, as usual, I enjoyed your reaction. I don't want to offend anyone comparing a fictional character to a real person but Capt. America reminds me of Major Winters from BoB in the way he personifies duty, loyalty and leadership skills.

I think this also shows how these movies held up with time. Or maybe movies today are just so poorly made that we can appreciate these more lol. I'm starting to think it's the latter.

2024-12-06 22:23:54 +0000 UTCI have come around on Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 over the years. Initially they were not my favorites but I think that was due to expectations going in and I appreciate them more now. Everyone has different tastes. If we all liked the same things, life would be boring.
