It's a Wonderful Life | Full Reaction

So, none of you warned me about tissues again. I'm really starting to think that y'all are doing this on purpose now LOL. With that said, thank you all so very much for recommending this truly special classic to me! I was surprised by the release date when I saw it, but wow.. I feel like I need to watch more from this time now.

I can definitely see myself watching this again next holiday. And the one after that, and after that lol. The film's message about the impact we have on the lives of others resonated with me in so many ways. I feel like it's just one of those films you gotta come back to once a year around the holidays to help keep you humble and reflect back on the amazing year you've had even if it doesn't seem that great in the moment.

I hope you all have a merry holiday season filled with warmth, joy, and the reminder that life is truly wonderful- because of people like you. 🩷

I have so much to say on this movie, but let me start with this: every time I watch this movie, without fail, I'm balling my eyes out. It's a wonderful example of the human spirit's ability to impact his fellow men. It's such a shame this movie bombed in the box office, but it has gained a far greater following in the ensuing decades. Jimmy Stewart(George) and Lionel Barrymore(Potter) were the big names for this film at the time. For movie suggestions, if you want more Jimmy Stewart, I'd watch Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. My high school US Govt. class used it for political terms examples for filibuster and gerrymandering. Lionel Barrymore, who plays Mr. Potter, is the great-uncle of Drew Barrymore. You hit all the right notes for this movie, and I'm so thankful for your heart and soul in this reactions. God bless you Kali.

I agree with you 100% on that! Everything in movies today has to be over the top and overstimulating. I really enjoyed this classic film way more than I thought I would, honestly. It did inspire me to want to watch more! Happy Holidays! And thank you for the birthday wishes! ✨

Kali Wali

I'll have to check this out!

Kali Wali

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my reaction to this classic film. I loved it so much more than I thought I would and it definitely inspired me to try out other films from this time. So hopefully I can sneak some more in soon! Thank you for the birthday and holiday wishes! I hope your holiday has been full of relaxation and good times! ✨

Kali Wali

I joined specifically to watch this and was not disappointed! Even though the setting and style of talking are very different from today, you got everything w/o any problems. Just based on this reaction and your selection of other films, I can tell that you're a true movie-lover! I know that older films (from before 1980-ish) don't tend to do well on Youtube, but I hope that occasionally you can post a reaction to a Golden Age film as a Patreon exclusive. It's nice to enjoy the variety that older films can bring, and it's really wonderful to get to know the legendary stars of the past. I don't want to overwhelm you with recommendations, but some can't miss classic films are Casablanca, The Godfather I & II, Singin' in the Rain, and The Apartment. (But there's plenty more!) Enjoy the holidays (and Happy Birthday)! Best wishes for you, your family, and your channel in 2025!

One thing i want to add to my other comment. Whats so special about Movies from the golden Age of Hollyoowd is they have a different stye and charm to todays Movies. Todays Movies became more and more reliant on CGI and just being loud and flashy, back then it was about Story, Writing, Characters, they had no CGI to distract from having no good Story or interesting and well written Characters. Especially the last 10 years in Hollywood were aweful in terms of storytelling, writing and characters. Will not go to deep in to that cause it would go sideways. I hope you will give those classics a chance over time and you will find out they are worth it. Merry Birthday again Kali, i hope you know how much you impact us all with your kindness, love and empathy.

And now it's time to watch the rarely seen extended ending to the movie. https://youtu.be/vw89o0afb2A?feature=shared

I had the exact same experience! I forgot George was going to need saving until I knew he, in fact, needed saving lol. Such genius writing I loved the message of this film so much and you said it all perfectly ✨ Makes me want to watch more movies from this time!

Kali Wali

When watching this for the first time, I got so wrapped up in the storytelling of George's life, that I completely forgot that he was going to need a divine intervention. But then it hit.... it REALLY hit, and the beautiful message of this movie became loud and clear. In all our own day to day lives it's sometimes so easy to lose sight of the impact we've had on everyone around us. No matter how small, no good deed goes unnoticed in the grand scheme of things. And as long as we stay true to ourselves and our principles, there's no end to the good we all can do in the world I always believe that each of us is here for a reason, with a purpose. That purpose sometimes can take years, even decades to find, but it's there. We all find it in our own time. Sometimes we just need a little push or a reminder of the bright light that we are to those around us. Beautiful movie, and amazing reaction by you! Thank you :)

You're welcome and keep them coming, "when" you are able to. We'll be here supporting you. I hzve followed a few reactors over the last couple years and yours are by far the purest and most heartfelt of any one. Only been here a short time following you but so glad i found you and I'm not going anywhere! Keep it up but, take care of "you" first.

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! It's been a rough week, but wow if this movie didn't come at a perfect time to remember what's important! It's ultimately why I decided to hang up the camera/microphone for a few days to recharge and be with family starting tomorrow instead of pushing myself more after a long week and trying to put out christmas reactions that I wasn't mentally ready for! I'm so happy you all understand and are so patient with me while I learn this process and discover what my limits are in this space! I always want to give you all the world because a huge part of me still can't believe that so many of you are loving these reactions and my content! I appreciate you very much for being here and I'm so glad my reactions can bring some joy into your life! ✨ Thank you for this comment! I agree with you on your thoughts about this film. It's beautiful in so many ways! Happy holidays!

Kali Wali

Merry Christmas Happy Birthday🎊🎂🎉🎈🎁

P T

There are a lot of Movies i could suggest but if you want to start BIG....12 Angry Men, widly considered as one of the best Movies ever made.

Curaitis

Wow, loved the reaction and the honesty from you! So Happy you are still with us to give us these awesome reactions. I know it's tough on you to get claims against your uploads but don't EVER feel likd you are letting us down or short changing us. Some things are just out of your control. We will enjoy them when you are able to post them. And yes, the world is SOOOOOOOOO much better with you in it. Your family would be the 1st ones to say that. You are a beautiful soul and I love your view of the movies and shows you give us. Now about the movie, didn't vite for this one to make you cry, its just inevitable from a great movie like this. One of the best movies ever, no matter the genre. And you are right, big life lessons in this one. Every one is important and matters, even if you don't feel that way or see it. Someone appeciates you and is happy you're in their life. Awesome Fantastic reaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

P T

I was a bit embarrassed to admit this is the oldest film I've seen. But wow, I hope to watch more from this time in the future! I hope you have a relaxing holiday season! ❄️🩷 Thank you for being here and supporting my movie journey!

Kali Wali

I agree after choosing no subtitles on this one lol! There were a few sayings I was very unsure of that subtitles probably wouldn't have helped either haha. But next time, I'll turn them on!

Kali Wali

I was a bit embarrassed to admit this is the older movie I've seen. I really loved it! The humor was so well written and the acting, WOW. I hope to see more from the Golden Age of Hollywood in the future!

Kali Wali

Definitely didn't encourage this just to make you cry, but just that it's about the purest, most Christmas message in a Christmas film ever, it's not about Santa or presents or any of the trappings but how we treat our fellow humans and how it can come back to us when we need it most. I feel like it's THE Christmas movie.

JD Nevesytrof

What do you mean with "on purpose"? Who could have known? 😘 I think you would be surprised how many old movies/classics there are that would make you appreciate their style so much more. But be sure we will show them to you. Nevertherless, im so happy you had exactly the great time we hoped you would have. Wish you a great time with your loved ones Kali. We all appreaciate you and the impact you have on us. Take care love.

Curaitis

At the end, the sheriff actually ripped up the warrant for George's arrest.

JD Nevesytrof

Don't want to spam too many comments since I'm sure there'll be more questions, but the "Hot dog!" thing was a cigar lighter, George was making a wish for a million dollars on it for fun and if it lights first time, your wish apparently will come true.

JD Nevesytrof

One thing I suggest with old movies is to leave the subtitles on, because dialogue tended to be delivered very fast, and if there are outdated phrases or references made, at least you'll know what they're saying if you want to Google them later

JD Nevesytrof

Well I guess I'm not turning in early tonight! I think if you open up the movie pick tier, you'll get more films from the Golden Age of Hollywood like this (they don't call it that for no reason) and with a little luck, you'll truly enjoy them.

JD Nevesytrof

Well you wouldn't want us spoiling anything, would you?

The Dingo

I knew it! Especially after this one lol

Kali Wali

Yes, we are doing that on purpose. We take a perverse pleasure in that :)
