Avengers: Endgame | Full Reaction

Nothing could have prepared me for this moment in the MCU. From even the opening scene, I felt the weight of everything that had come before, and I knew I'd be in for a rough 3 hours. This wasn't just another superhero story. it was a story about loss, hope, and the journey of these characters I've grown so attached to. Seeing Tony find a family, Thor struggle with his worth again, and Steve try to keep hope alive made every moment feel personal. The time heist felt like a genius way to revisit the MCU's history and bring tons of closure and new meanings to all of the moments I have loved about this journey so far.

The final battle was everything and so much more. Seeing cap stand alone against Thanos, hearing "on your left" and watching every hero return was the most goosebump induced moment I've had since the Ride of Rohirrim. And then the sacrifices that were made. The sacrifices that have been present throughout the entire MCU journey so far. Natasha's selflessness, Tony's heartbreaking yet perfect farewell, and Steve finally choosing to live for himself. All of these moments felt so earned and make victory feel so bittersweet but so extremely satisfying.

I was overwhelmed by the end. In the best ways. This movie was a celebration of everything the MCU has built, honoring the past while lighting new flames for the future. Legendary batons were passed. Tony's legacy living on, Sam taking up Steve's shield, and Steve getting his long-awaited dance made it so clear that even though this is the endgame, it wasn't really the end.

If I remember right, in the comics both Bucky and Falcon were Captain American at different points of time. As far as the MCU goes, I think Bucky would have made a better Captain America, mostly because he took the Super Soldier Serum, so he had the strength, speed, etc.. of Steve Rogers which Falcon didn't have.

"I don't really blame him, i'm just gonna miss him" I'm gonna write that down

Hahaha this made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣👀 It's all because of Mr. Rat

CHEERS TO THE RAT IN STORAGE THAT CRAWLED ACROSS THE PANELBOARD IN THE VAN. The 1 chance in 14million possible realities! A singular event! None of this would have been possible without Mr. Rat.

I never was on the side of not liking the second and third Movie of the Matrix. Im not a big fan of them but not because they were bad or something, cause there werent but because they created more questions then gave answers. In regards of p4, im sure you you will like most of it and even love it but i just can repeat myself. P4 is a different beast in regards to reasons why it is considered bad. Dont take that as an insult or attack but you are still in the phase of consuming and liking/loving most you see cause its new and you dont have started to dig deeper into some things are what they seem to be. That comes mainly because you never was there when it happened. You never experienced what Actors, Disney and others said back then about the original Fanbase. You never got insulted to be racist or toxic just because you disliked the Script or just criticized a Movie for a weak, superficial and hypocritical Story or Characters. I know i could dismantle every Show and Movie in p4 for the garbage it is but that would also mean i could take the fun away from you watching it and i dont want that. Im happy for you and hope you will have a lot of fun during p4 but i cant watch it without seeing all the problems. i dont want to take away anything from anyone, even if i seem to be pity and toxic. I just want people to understand more than just what they see with their eyes. I want them to understand how a good Character arc, a good script, a believable Story works and how it can lift up a Movie or Show and that just checking some ideological boxes dont make a good Movie. This will be a long Comment.... 3 fast examples. Rings of Power and the life action version from Mulan. The first i hate for what the Showrunners and Actors said numerous times about Tolkien and his work. They didnt care, they wanted to their own thing, which i can respect but using the work of someone and just saying "we dont care about the Fans, we dont care about Tolkiens vision." is just wrong. The problem is that "modern" Audiences just see those marked checkboxes and they are happy to watch it because they can show of how "woke" they are and how bad everyone is who dont like it. Mulan is different but also the same. Disney shot the Movie in a chinese region were the Uyghurs were imprisoned in concentration Camps while China carry put a genocide on them. Disney was under some critcism from the Media but their "Woke" Audience didnt care. They applauded the Girlboss Character that had nothing to do anymore with the original Animation Character which btw was a great written Female Character with a great Story Arc and Characterdevelopment. The whole Storyline of Endgame doesnt work. Not only because time traveling doesnt work that way but thats a Hollywood problem in gerenal. There is not one Movie or Show that is doing it the right way. Its even deeper. The plan from Strange in Infinity War is a huge plothole that doesnt work at all but only after Endgame it was clear how big of a plothole his plan was. I will atleast watch Wandavision cause i deeply like Liz Olsen and Wanda and i also think this Show had freaking huge potential but what Disney made out of it was a crapshow of corporate wokeness just to cater to a new audience they thought would be interested in Superhero Movies while they told the original fanbase its not for them anymore. Funfact... p4 tanked so hard because their new audience never cared and their old audience left after being called stuff by their new audience. Last thing i wanna say. Most reactors fear to be honest and dislike a Movie or Show because of the backlash they might get. Its the reason why most of them, nearly everyone (only know a few who are honest), always hype everything or dont want to dive deeper into understanding Movies/Shows. Its always a disappointment to see someone sell out their dignity just because of the views/clicks and because they are lacking a spine. Anyway, no idea if you will read this. I hope you understand my side and that i care (that might sound awkward) about you cause i see potential in you.

Curaitis

I'd recommend watching those before Spider-Man No Way Home

Doug Watson

I'm 100% addicted to the Endgame reaction. Mandatory daily viewing whenever possible. I could probably list my 30 favorite moments, but definitely the top 2 are when Clint's phone vibrates and then the "on your left" segment. Kali it's very impressive when, no matter how devastated you are by a movie, you can pull it together for an awesome outro and then come up with such eloquent 2 or 3 paragraph synopses. What. A. Legend.

Richard

Hello, I am an MCU/comic book nerd. I agree that the first three phases were special. Ironman to Endgame will be hard to beat. However, please keep an open mind starting phase four. And remember that the TV shows are just as important as the movies in phase four and beyond.

Lawrence Gibson

Avengers Endgame has such a good balance between humor and drama, action and spectacle, but I would agree with some decisions seemingly forced with the women helping Captain Marvel only for her to fail the infinity stones extraction quest twice(once going to the van and second with thanos) I'm glad Iron Man got the last move , cause this was his whole redemption arc. The Lost quote I remembered in Infinity War was this: Time is not OF the essence, it IS the essence. It seemed apropos given the time traveling they were doing. I also wanted to tell a couple other facts. The 3000 in "I love you 3000" is the amount of minutes from the MCU movies from Iron Man to Avengers Endgame. The Russo Brothers also confirmed other Snap victims about a week after Infinity War: Shuri, Thaddeus and Betty Ross, Lady Sif(I think Loki banished her before Ragnarok), and some others you'll find out later. I'm so glad you're continuing this MCU journey, get ready for some darker storylines. I'm with ya till the end of the line.

Paul Wright

I finally caught up with your MCU journey. And I'm here until the end, which, by the way, I've heard that Avengers: Secret Wars will conclude the entire MCU franchise. This was a great reaction video. I am not one to cry, but I actually did when I watched this with your reaction. I'm looking forward to the next one. You've got the best reaction videos. We love you 3000!

Will Castillo

Thank you so much. I do think there was some healing in my cry but it was mostly sadnesss this time around. Thank you again!!!!! This is definitely is my most favorite from the MCU. The complexity of it with all the characters we see and they fit them in seamlessly as you mentioned. I forgot to mention it in the previous post but I'm with you. I liked how the did the woman scene in the main battle but it seemed forced. Again, I'm glad you're going to continue the journey. I will be right here with you except for a couple of them. Ijust can't re-watch them lol I won't spoil which ones. We'll just see what you think when you get to them ☺️😆😆 Yes, BttF was a much less heavier tone and fun to watch. I haven't seen that yet but will soon. I think I'm going to do LotR trilogy next since I finished the Hobit. Keep doing what you're doing. You are fantastic at this!! Glad I found you and I am enjoying the journey with you!!!!

P T

I totally remember that! I didn't catch onto that one first time around, but I did catch onto Hope calling Steve "Cap" and my heart just lit up. I loooove that they included so many of these small but meaningful details into this film. It makes it soooo powerful in every way! Glad you loved the reaction! Thank you for joining us on Patreon! 💚🍿

Kali Wali

Ahhh, that makes a lot of sense! Bucky is his closest friend, but with his past as Winter Soldier I can see why he couldn't rightly be given Captain America's shield.. Sam's journey has always been about morals and selflessness so I get why Steve picked him. I think I just have a huge spot in my heart for Bucky, I always have for some reason lol. The look that Bucky gives Steve is so powerful. I didn't catch it first watch, but I've gone back to look after I saw a few others bring it up and WOW. He fully understood Steve's choice, even if it wasn't the one he would have hoped for him personally. I love that they showed this..

Kali Wali

For sure! :)

Kali Wali

I definitely need to watch those! I watched Deadpool 1 way out of order, but I'm looking forward to watching the others now!

Kali Wali

I'm so sorry this felt heavier since your Dad's passing. It's clear that Endgame holds tons of deep emotional significances for you now, and I can only imagine how powerful that hit this time around. Thank you for sharing that with me! I hope you're doing better now and maybe it was hopefully more of a healing cry than a sad one 💚 This one was such an emotional rollercoaster, but wow I agree that they nail that blend of heaviness and levity. You're so right about how the stakes are raised only for us to get knocked down again, but these moments where hope is restored are so moving. I'm glad my reactions have made this journey that much more meaningful to you! I can't express how much it means to know that we're experiencing them together. It seriously makes this journey that much more fulfilling for me. The Avengers gave us so much, and it's amazing how connected we feel to these characters as if they're real! I'm really looking forward to finishing out this Phase and going right into the next one! I'll definitely be keeping an open mind after hearing things through the internet vine though hahahaha. And seriously, thank you so much for your support! Also yeah LOL I was going to watch BttF first like I was recommended to do, but I couldn't wait any longer to find out what happens in Endgame 🤣 Which I'm kinda glad because BttF was a much needed laugh after this heaviness!

Kali Wali

I am also VERY interested in how the Red Skull meeting went too 👀 And Yes! Daredevil is 100% on my list. I'll try to squeeze it in somewhere around here soon! Especially with the new one apparently coming out or already out!

Kali Wali

I definitely get what you mean- There is something so special about these first 3 Phases and Endgame felt like the perfect culmination of it all! But I am really excited to keep going in with an open mind! I've heard great things about a lot of the series and movies to come yet 💚✨

Kali Wali

You're very right. It's hard to compare anything to this kind of payoff from Endgame 🤯 Thank you for being a part of this journey with me!! It has made it even more special for me

Kali Wali

Oh wow! I don't even know where to begin here because this comment is everything 😭😂💚 I'm beyond grateful to be able to share this journey with you all and know that it means so much! Because you have made it just as special for me, seriously. You're so right that this movie is a one-of-a-kind experience. You can't ever replicate it. The attention to detail with all the callbacks, the payoff of over a decade of storytelling, the emotion weight of it all. It hits on every level. The Clint/T-'Challa moment and Hope calling Steve "Cap" were definitely two little things that I looooved too. I didn't pick up on the Clint/T'Challa one right away for some reason, but Hope calling Steve "Cap". I felt that lol. They went into sooo much detail and squeezed so much emotion into every moment. And Tony and Cap. I still can't believe how perfectly their journeys mirrored each others in the end. Two sides of the same coin, truly. Each pushing the other to be better, do better, and ultimately, they both listened to each other 💚 Poetic, tragic, and so beautiful. I don't think I'll ever hear "I love you 3000" without getting emotional inside. The fact that you even made a song in his honor?? That's incredible! Also, the music in this movie?? Beyond amazing. I can't even tell you how much it means to hear that you've been loving this space for over a year now! That's wild to think about, and I feel very lucky to have such an incredible community like this. You all have made this journey so much more meaningful than I ever could've imagined.. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ✨

Kali Wali

I honestly can't believe I made it through all these years without getting spoiled on THAT ending! I'm so sorry that you got spoiled before getting to experience them!! That's the worst :( I feel incredibly lucky to go in blind and just experience everything for the first time. I love that Far From Home is a bit of an epilogue. It makes sense considering how close Peter was to Tony. I can't lie, I'm nervous going into a Spiderman movie knowing that. I'm still not over Tony's death, personally. But I am really curious to see how they close up this Phase after Endgame. I deeeefinitely know that Phase 4 will be a mixed bag, but I can't lie I'm looking forward to it! I think it's going to be really good moving in/out of series as they dropped in Phase 4. I blame my premature watch of Love and Thunder for my first "Blah" feelings towards the MCU lol. I might rewatch it on my own, just to see if I pick up on what I missed the first time around. But I won't make you all sit through that one again with me hahaha. Glad you're looking forward to more MCU! Thank you so much for being on this awesome ride with me :)

Kali Wali

Little tidbit: did you notice that the position of the fallen Black Widow was identical to the position of the fallen Gamora? I don't have time to read books but I am in my car a lot so that is a perfect time to listen to audio books. I've enjoyed LOTR for years since seeing them in the theaters on their initial release but I just never got around to the books until now... better late than never as they say.

Andrew Roach

I finished your Captain Marvel reaction on YouTube, then I had to finally come here and join Patreon because I couldn't wait for this! Loved the reaction. My favorite callback in this movie is where Black Panther calls Clint by name; he remembered Clint's name, even though he said "I don't care" when Clint introduced himself in Civil War.

Cory Stanish

Amazing reaction as always ! To answer why Steve choose Sam to be the new Captain America : Steve chose to give his shield to Sam rather than Bucky because he knew that Sam better embodied the values of Captain America: courage, integrity, and selflessness. Bucky, despite being his oldest friend, carried the heavy burden of his past as the Winter Soldier, which would have complicated his acceptance as a symbol of justice by the public. Sam, on the other hand, had always shown unwavering loyalty and morality, willing to defend the oppressed without ever losing his humanity. Moreover, the look Bucky exchanges with Steve at the end shows that he understood and accepted this decision. Steve wanted the new Captain America to be a symbol of hope and renewal, embodied by an ordinary but righteous man, proving that heroism comes from the heart rather than powers. By choosing Sam, Steve made a decision based on symbolism and Sam’s ability to represent the positive future he hoped for the world. We love you 3000 ❤️

Arnaud Leroux

Hey kali you should totally watch all the xmen/deadpool movies soon because deadpool and wolverine is apart of the mcu and you will be confused if you haven't already seen the old ones + they're awesome post endgame those are definitely the best things to watch besides the actual movies/shows that are apart of the mcu

Seth

FYI, you will have to make a detour for the three Toby Spider-Man and the two Andrew Spider-Man before Tom Holland move No way home. It’s super cool important.

Matt Fong

I don't know how to start but this one hits so much more different since my dad passed. I cried more this time through it than I have watching it before, combined. Don't even know how many times I've watched it. Knowing my dad will never come back just hit different 😢 I have so much to mention that I don't know that I can recall it all, do mostly to my emotional state, but the first to comment about is your "Let's Go" while crying, but that was most of the movie lol, as everybody is reappearing for the final battle scene. That was Beautiful emotion, So You!!!! Second, the humor that was there apart from the drama and in the middle of the drama helped get through the movie. Thwy do a fabulous job mixing the humor in so it's not so heavy the whole movie. It doesn't change the prominent heaviness but helps get through it. Third, just when you think the "heros" are starting to win, we get knocked back by something that kinda shatters the hope only to regain hope. Like when the 3 are fighting Thanos at first and he is taking care of them, we find out Cap can use Mjölnir and we gain new hope or when Thanos orders his ship to rain fire 🔥 on the battle field, captain marvel shows up and destroys his ship and many more examples. Fourth, I've said this before but I'll say it again. The raw, real, honest emotions and not apologizing for it. Just makes it so much more real. As others have said, we are right there with you crying. Lastly, the end credit homage to the people who were the original 6 Avenger characters. They basically, for the most part, put their careers on hold for a decade to give us this masterpiece of a universe that will never be duplicated. As you said, the writing and dedication of all involved and the way this universe pulled us in to care and connect with them was brilliant. We looked at them as real people but ultimately they are fictional characters. To get attached and cry and hurt they way we have is the truest form of flattery to the MCU. And to think this was all pieced together as they went, sort of. They had no idea, they hoped, when they made the first iron man that there would be this kind of following. They just kept building and building and ended up with the greatest franchise of movies in history. In my humble opinion! I'm glad you're going to continue the journey. I have enjoyed phase 4. Every one has their own taste. Yes, there have been some duds and ones that don't seem to fit with the rest of the projects but they made an effort. I got caught up in some of the negativity surrounding some shows and movies initially but I've enjoyed them all. Great reaction as always. For me, I've said it before, there is no competition. You ARE the best reactor I watch. Hands down!!!! Love ya 3000! See you in lord of the rings trilogy and others including the rest of the MCU. P.S. i bet you see Back to the Future a lot differently than you would have if you had watched it before Endgame lol

P T

Not much I can add that hasn't already been said. An incredible end to a long run of 22 movies. I'm glad you enjoyed it! A couple little things I will mention: - Yeah, as you guessed, that kid at the funeral was the kid from Iron Man 3. - If Cap returned the Stones, that means he met Red Skull again. I would have been very interested to see how that meeting went down. Anyway, looking forward to continuing with the MCU. Like many, I do think Phase 4 is a bit rocky, but there are definitely some gems I'm looking forward too. Also, I know I mentioned this already, but I HIGHLY recommend checking out Daredevil. I still think it's one of the best things Marvel has out out. (Also, they do start to reference its events and characters in Phase 4).

Malcolm Ferguson

IMO, the problem with Love and Thunder was you had such a tragic story with Gorr and Jane Foster, yet everyone was going around making jokes the whole time, it just felt inappropriate.

McShades

Endgame is honestly such a masterpiece in my opinion. Also, while these first three phases magic probably won’t ever be replicated again, there are some really good projects in these upcoming phases. Shang chi, Loki, guardians 3, black panther 2, and no way home are honestly some of my favorite superhero stuff. So don’t go into the next stuff with too low of expectations because a majority of it I think is still really good.

Jp Davis

Watching this again, you are definitely a step ahead of everyone else. Another thing with this movie is how the directors never rushed a scene, the dialogue wasn’t rushed but was allowed to flow naturally with pauses, etc, like normal conversation. Taking time to let the proper amount of emotion build for each scene. Masterful writing and directing. Kali, apologies because I know you get a lot of suggestions on this stuff, but when you get to WandaVision there are 9 episodes and they’re fairly short so I’ve seen some channels do 3 reactions to 3 episodes each but do whatever works for your schedule. I’m excited to see your incredible brain at work in that one because there is a mystery that needs to be solved! 🤔🐨

Richard

That makes me soooo sad. I've heard that from a lot of people :( I'm still excited to move through it with an open mind, but I gotta admit I'm sad that the MCU is a dying art it seems.

Kali Wali

This is a really fair take and I appreciate you sharing it! Endgame is a strange beast.. It delivers some of the most satisfying emotional payoffs in the MCU but at the same time, it's got wild creative choices haha. The rat being the ultimate universe's savior is definitely insane when you think about it, but the symbolism behind it all is what does it for me personally! I know there's a lot of debate about post-Endgame phases, but I'm really looking forward to continuing my journey through the MCU. It's always been a bit of a mixed bag, but I love it all the same for the creativity and beautiful intertwining storylines! When one piece of the puzzle fits together in a random movie, that's what makes the entire journey so satisfying for me! Thanks so much for being honest and for watching along with me!

Kali Wali

I heard about some misfires and I actually prematurely watched Thor Love and Thunder at a friends when it came out and I'm 99% sure that's why I never watched another MCU film or even tried to sit down and watch them from the beginning haha. I'll be skipping that one since I've seen it and a rewatch isn't necessary (or at least, that's what people have told me) but I'm very much looking forward to the series and a few more great movies sprinkled in there!

Kali Wali

Hahaha I love that! Tom Holland literally on constant spoiler-watch is hilarious and actually really fitting for his MCU character 🤣🤯 hilarious that they told him it was a wedding not a funeral! I need to check out the interview after I watch Far From Home, for sure! Thank you for the recommends! All the laughs are definitely needed after this emotional rollercoaster haha. 💚

Kali Wali

That verse is such a perfect way to sum up both Natasha and Tony's sacrifices. No matter how many times I think about those moments, they still hurt the same. Their journeys were filled with soooo much growth, and in the end, they made the ultimate choice and not for themselves, but for the people they loved and protected. So powerful 😭

Kali Wali

I will definitely be continuing my journey through the MCU! And like you said, the first Three Phases even had their ups and downs, so I expect the same going forward. Gems sprinkled into some storyline meh's that still grow character arcs! I'm here for all of it and I can't wait! :)

Kali Wali

I think you might be right about that last sentence 🤣😭

Kali Wali

👀🤯

Kali Wali

Oh wow, thank you so much! Endgame was seriously packed with so many details that it definitely makes it easy to miss things. And yeah, that moment with the Soul Stone... It wrecked me when Gamora got sacrificed for it, so I got so nervous seeing that Nat and Clint were the ones assigned to that stone. I just knew at the moment they arrived, and the Red Skull was there waiting, that this wasn't going to end the way I thought it was initially.. I loooove that you're listening to Fellowship of the Ring! I heard that there was that version and really wanted to give it a listen myself. I'm thinking that the audiobooks will be my way to go since it's been impossible to tear myself away to read a book since I moved. I keep hoping things will settle in, but maybe in another week or so? If not, I'll most likely boot up the audio books because I didn't want to wait this long between watching the movies and starting the books for myself! I haven't seen Star Trek yet, but that sounds incredible! It was such a beautiful and respectful way to say goodbye to these legendary characters.

Kali Wali

Not yet! I'm planning on hopping into those soon-ish!

Kali Wali

Ooo, I'll add it to the list!

Kali Wali

Noooo. My heart!

Kali Wali

Ugh, this comment his hard. Because YES. Those same words have been echoing in my own head, too. You're so right about Tony's journey. His greatest fear wasn't just losing but failing those around him. Those he loved and protected. The fact that his story ends with him finally resting, knowing that he did everything he could is soo incredibly moving. You're absolutely right about Natasha, too. Her refusal to let anyone be defined by their worst mistakes.. That is what makes her such a powerful and incredible character. Losing BOTH of them in this movie, along with Captain America in his own way, was devastating. Hearing that my journey through the MCU helped inspire your own means soooooo much more than I can even put into words! Endgame really was the making of so many intertwined stories, and it just wouldn't hit the same without the weight of all of them. The fact that you actually waited and committed to experiencing this one the right way makes it even more special! And it's been awesome deep diving over these characters with you since the start of it all! I'm also right there with you about the next phases! No matter the mixed opinion, keeping an open mind and just enjoying the ride will be awesome! Because if the MCU has taught me anything, it's that there are always more amazing characters, stories, and moments to be unfolded. Thank you for all the love and support! I'm beyond grateful to have you along with me on this journey as well!

Kali Wali

Thank YOU for being here and enjoying this journey with me! It's been seriously amazing and I'm very excited to keep going. I love that Phase 4 introduces more shows alongside the movies and I'm really looking forward to that change of pace and deeper dives through series vs just movies. I've noticed a lot of people mentioning the adjacent Marvel projects and they are definitely on my radar! I can't wait to dive into them when the time comes. I love when people share their Endgame and Infinity War experiences in theatre with me because I'm so jealous! Every story gives me chills and makes me wish I was there. I can't even imagine the explosive energy that must have been felt in that theatre surrounded by true fans on opening night! I'll definitely have to check out some of those theatre reactions!! Thank you for the recommend

Kali Wali

I know I just said it, lol. But I'm over here now 🤣 But it means so much to hear that my reaction could take you back to opening night! I could feel the energy in that theatre just from your description and I can only imagine how electric those moments were in a packed crowd full of true MCU fans. Cap summoning Mjolnir, the portals opening, that entire zoom out of the battlefield... Goosebumps just thinking back on all of it. Pure cinematic magic at it's best! I completely understand why Steve will always be your Captain America and I love that. I feel it, too. Chris Evans brought so much heart to that role, and it's hard to image anyone else really portraying Captain America in the way he did. And of course, Robert Downey Jr. A favorite of mine even before the MCU but now seeing him as Iron Man?? Seeing his arc play out the way it did?? Absolutely legendary. The credits show how much their performances made these characters feel REAL. Which is why losing them hits so hard, too. 11 years of storytelling perfection- I can't be mad about that either, just incredibly grateful. Hawkeye's opener was.. brutal. Ripped me right open and set the tone for my emotions going into the whole thing, which is why I think this one made me such a mess. Hawkeye earned his steady spot in my Top 5 because of the fact that he was a family man behind it all. And for this to be the opening? Nah.. I didn't stand a chance. I loved the Back to the Future tie-ins! Someone (might have been you?) warned me to watch Back to the Future before this one, but I was too excited. I couldn't wait to watch Endgame. So I jumped right in before and completely forgot about that advice honestly hahaha. I had it in my head that my first day I could sit down and record another movie, it was going to be Avengers: Endgame. But now seeing BttF, I love it haha. Also, the theory of Cap not lifting Mjolnir in Age of Ultron because of the secret he was carrying!? WOW. Absolutely mind blown and surprised I didn't put that together until you mentioned it. Your words mean the world! I'm so glad that I got to experience up to this point completely unspoiled because it was worth every moment! Adn I'm even more glad that my reaction could bring back first day feels.. ✨

Kali Wali

I can't help but feel like little things like this are definitely a part of the bigger picture in this movie. EVERYTHING hits heavy if you look at it through the eyes of 11 years in the making! So I totally agree and see that, too!

Kali Wali

I absolutely LOVED it! Even though it also wrecked me hahaa. It's weird, but I feel like this movie changed me a bit? It made me feel so much closer to the MCU than I ever have before, if that's even possible. I made the Endgame wallpaper my background on my PC and I just stare at it from time to time. I'm excited to jump into more! Even if some of them don't hit well or feel bad. I'm just excited to keep moving through this with you all and I am VERY excited to watch Wandavision and Loki and Winter Soldier on here and move through shows with the movies! I think it's going to be great!

Kali Wali

There's a lot of great stuff to come! It's not uncommon to hear everything coming compared to this movie, but that was the payoff of a long road paved with years of investment and attachment. Really enjoyed taking that trip with you! You've easily become one of my favorite reactors.

Chris Chatham

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Wow. (WARNING! HUGE INFO DUMP) What an insane way to end my night. This is by far my favorite reaction from you. You cried, I cried, you cried, I cried, you cried, I got sick of crying, but the tears kept rolling. Incredible. From the very first opening scene, all the way to the very last credit, this movie was truly an experience. One that will always be fondly remembered but can never be replicated. What a spectacle! There were so many small moments that called back to the rest of the movies and how they all tied together, also satisfying when you noticed them. Some of my favorites are the smaller ones: For example, Black Panther calling out Hawkeye's name to take the gauntlet from him, when in Civil War when they first were fighting, Clint tried to introduce himself but T'Challa said that he did not care about his name. Or even Hope calling Captain America "Cap" in front of Scott to call back the moment in Ant-Man and the Wasp about his friends calling him Cap. There's so many more, but I'd be here forever if I named them all , haha! Instead, I would like to speak on Captain America and Iron Man's Journeys, respectively. I said this in your Civil War reaction, but I love how their stories were just two sides of the same coin. In the simplest of words, Cap finally decided to put himself first and live out the life that he deserved, while Tony made the ultimate sacrifice of all which is something that Cap told him he would never be able to do. They both ended up listening to each other, and I am so sad that they did (for selfish reasons).🥲 In the theaters, Iron Man's funeral was the part that hit me the most. Just seeing all of our characters literally in one place standing still for the best hero of them all. His final message and line is one that will stick with me forever. I made a song titled "I love you 3000" in his honor and memory. Despite my origin of dislike for his character, he grew to be my favorite. My list is very similar to yours with him and Captain America being tied at number one. The music in this movie is phenomenal. The composers went absolutely bonkers, and I can not get enough of it! The journey of the MCU has been such a beautiful thing to watch, and I am so excited to see you continue it. I truly cannot thank you enough. Your journey is also one of the best ones that I have seen. I found your channel over a year ago now, and you quickly became one of my favorite gaming channels/gamers because of the way that you connected to characters. It is insane that you have become one of my favorite reactors now. You truly are the best, and as a community, we love you 3000. We will be here with you until the end of the line🫶🏾

I'm actually baffled that Kali went all these years without getting spoiled. Infinity War and Endgame were the biggest things in pop culture when they came out. Because of that, I actually got spoiled at the endings both movies before I got to see them. Kali is sooo lucky for being able to go through the MCU completely blind and having a genuine reaction. Spider-Man Far From Home is sorta like an epilogue to Endgame. After that, Marvel tried experimenting with TV shows since Disney Plus came out around the same time. Like other people said, Phase 4 is where the MCU started to get shaky. I mean, we've all seen Kali rip on Thor Love and Thunder multiple times lol. Now, the next Avengers movie is coming very soon and it feels like there is no build up. Hopefully it lives up since they brought back the same directors for Infinity War and Endgame for it, plus a certain actor will in it that I don't want to spoil for Kali. If you want to continue watching the next phase, I would suggest stopping before you get to the third Spider-Man movie, No Way Home, and watch the older Spider-Man movies. No Way Home is the movie is where the MCU starts to pickup again and watching the older Spider-Man movies will give you context for the story of that one. Anyway, I'm glad to have gone through all these reactions with Kali from the beginning. Hopefully she'll be all caught up by the time the next Avengers come out so we can all experience it together.

ChrisAm13

that was amazing I felt with you every second of it including cry with you, imagine see this movie with fans in the cinema, it blew me away👏🏻👏🏻 ps: I think the problem with phase 4 is, that the writing and scripts are very bad what makes the movies and shows bad. and because there is no built up and coherence in the MCU anymore, no One is excited for the next Avengers movie.

Noah Schmid

Man this movie is weird. On one hand i absolutely love it for all the emotional payoff. Satisfying conclusions to tony, cap, and natashas arcs in particular. And on the other hand, some decisions made were SO strange. The whole time heist idea In general, the rat saving the universe, the smart hulk, the all ladies posing scene 🤣. I think the biggest problem with this movie is that is a sequel to the near masterpiece that is infinity war. The mcu had such an identity at this time, and the highs were so high throughout the 11 year span that pretty much any version of this movie would have been a satisfying ending. I dont like how the setting for the big final fight is a grey dirty mess, i love the action in said scene. The comic relief in such a tense story is very necessary but the goofy scenes usually go on just a bit longer than they should. I love how EVERYONE shows up and all feel connected, BUT because everyone is in this, most don't get enough screen time to feel important. Overall, i will always love this movie, and i will always be disappointed by it after watching infinity war beforehand. Great reaction as always kali! I cant wait to see the post-endgsme stuff. Theres a lot of mixed feelings about it all, but some great and some...not so great per usual.

Justyn

I thought it was a great end to a long series of 22+ movies. Talk about a long story arc. Most of the movies after End Game are ok, there are some exceptional ones like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Spider-Man movies and of course Deadpool & Wolverine. But there were a few misfires like Thor 4 and Ant-Man 3, but you might like them.

McShades

In an attempt to lighten the mood.... ;) So Tom Holland is notorious for not being able to keep his mouth shut during publicity tours. It's gotten to the point where they never send him out on his own and always send a minder with him. For an upcoming(for you) movie, it was Benedict Cumberbatch and those interviews are pretty funny. Anyway, they were so worried about Tom accidentally leaking the end of this movie that they didn't tell him the reason for the big funeral scene at the cabin. He was told it was a wedding. lol. There's a funny Jimmy Kimmel interview about it from the Spider-Man: Far from Home publicity tour, but watching it would contain a casting spoiler for that film, so I don't know if I'd go searching for it just yet. Another funny thing to watch (but not necessarily react to) is "How Captain America Should Have Returned the Stones". I highly, highly recommend it to give you a good laugh. It's not even four minutes long, so it's a very quick watch. If you've never heard of them, How It Should Have Ended(HISHE) is a YouTube comedy channel that uses animation to poke fun at inconsistencies and plot holes in movies. I think they did a total of three or four videos for Endgame, but my favorite is the Stones one and the one for the Endgame trailer. There's a tiny spoiler about a completely unrelated movie in the Returned the Stones video, but honestly it's so small you'd never notice it unless you knew what you were looking for. And the movie in question is so far in your future you'd never remember it anyway. So watch it and have a good laugh. <3 :-)

Michael Kemmet

[SPOILERS] I've watched this film half a dozen times, and the tears *still* roll down my cheeks, first for Natasha and then for Tony! "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 Fantastic reaction as always, Kali!

Phil Stubblefield

How Captain America Should Have Returned the Stones

Michael Kemmet

At the end credits, they have a sound bite from Iron Man of Tony hammering making his first suit in the cave. A nice callback to a character and movie that kick-started a great Marvel run.

Richard

Sorry this one was so rough on you, but I’m glad you enjoyed it And had enough tissues on hand! Any movie after this should be a piece of cake for you! 😊

Bernie Zwicky

Still an amazing movie just from an emotional standpoint. My 2 favorite moments were Cap getting Mjollnir and "Avengers! Assemble." The theater absolutely erupted in that moment. Then all the visits down memory lane. Tony getting "closure" with his father. Thor getting advice from his mother. "Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be. The measure of a person is how well they succeed at being who they are," has stuck with me. Especially in moments when I'm not measuring up to my own expectations. The first 3 phases of the MCU had their ups and downs, but man it did finish big and strong. Iron Man and Cap were definitely the anchors and their ends were completely earned. And Black Widow too of course. We do have her movie coming up, but I wish it had been included in phase 3. I'm sure you've heard some mixed opinions of the phase 4 "multi-verse" saga that begins after the next Spiderman. It's up and down in my opinion too. But there are some real gems coming up. So hope you continue. It's mostly shows so you may need to pace yourself and hopefully sprinkle in some non-MCU shows as well. The good thing is most of the shows are short with only 6 to 9 episodes. What an awesome gift. Perfect to close out Tony's saga.

Marty McGee

I noticed this before but I must say it here that you are exceptionally smart at picking up on little things. I have seen many reactions to this movie but you are the first to realize very early about the issue of getting the soul stone, others only realize this at the moment it happens. And as already brought up no one else except Gamora and Thanos knew about this dark secret of getting that stone. At least Captain America could return it with no problem lol. I'm sure that Guardian was like... wait, you want to return the stone!? I am glad you clearly buy top quality makeup, no mascara streaks for you. Off topic but today I started listening to the audio book Fellowship of the Ring for the first time. It is a newer version read by Andy Serkis aka Gollum, in his normal voice. The end credits using the actor's signature was not the first time that was done. It was done in the final Star Trek movie to sort of say goodbye to the original legendary cast. This is not really for you Kali, but hey folks isn't it nice to see Amy Pond time travel again?

Andrew Roach

Hey Kali, have you watched the other Spider-man movies? The ones starring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield?

Doug Watson

We love you 3,000!

Doug Watson

You should totally watch Hot Tub Time Machine! You might recognize one of the actors from that and the MCU.

Doug Watson

Yup, if it wasn't for that rat.

Doug Watson

If I'm not mistaken the scene with old captain American was supposed to be stan Lee as cap but unfortunately he passed away before they could film it

Pepper's last words to Tony: "We're going to be okay. You can rest now". Those words have been burned in my brain playing on repeat ever since I watched this a few weeks ago. After the first Avengers movie, everything Tony has done has been for those around him. His greatest fear being to live on while those around him pass because he didn't do enough. That he let them down. That he failed. It's so deeply relatable, because of how much he struggles. He cares so much that it becomes his greatest strength and flaw. So I don't think there's any greater comfort Pepper could bring him than with those words. I'm still so sad about it, but I at least know that his last breath was probably the most peaceful one he's had in over a decade. We saw the most selfish man, turn into the most selfless. And of course, we can't forget Black Widow either. Never judging anyone for their greatest mistake. Tony and Natasha were literally #1 and #2 for so long on my top 5, and now they're both gone :( As you know, I watched Infinity War originally in theaters, but then didn't see Endgame until very recently. After seeing IW in theater, I realized just how much of the emotional impact I was missing out on. So I promised that I would not watch Endgame until I first finally sat down to properly watch all the movies up to that point (and finally in the proper order lol). Life got in the way and it never happened. Until you started your MCU journey :) So for as enjoyable as it has been to watch your own experience through these movies, I'm also super appreciative that it got me on my own journey along with you! This movie really needs the background of all the past stories to really hit. In just this movie, so many stories were closed, and so many new chapters were opened. It didn't feel like one movie. It was like 10-15 individual stories with struggles, triumph, and redemption. There's so many individual characters that I want to do my own deep dives on: Thor, Hulk, Nebula, and soooo many more Even though I know the next phases are met with a lot of mixed opinions, I'm very excited to dive into them myself completely blind and with an open mind. And find enjoyment in them no matter what. Really looking forward to continuing that journey with you too, and get to experience more amazing characters, stories, and moments! Thanks again for all the love and detail you've put into your MCU reactions! It's seriously so appreciated!!

M1 Maz

Oh no! I think it might have been edited out! That's all right, not everyone will get it :)

JD Nevesytrof

It has been such a ride to re-experience these movies with you, so thank you! I am also so glad you are sticking with the MCU. Yes, there are some misses, but there are some really good shows/movies ahead too! Plus, you have already seen the worst MCU movie ahead. And if you wanted to stick with Marvel but venture MCU adjacent there are some really good projects too with Xmen and Daredevil/Jessica Jones/Punisher. Also, we spoke of the theater experience with Infinity War and the shock involved there. Well, there was NOTHING like the experience seeing Endgame in the theaters. The shared experience of elation with a theater full of strangers when all the heroes returned was something i will never forget. The applause and cheers for each avenger as they came through the portals was incredible. There are some people who recorded theater reactions that are worth checking out if you want to see what it was like.

Joe

First let me say, wow what a reaction. You really pulled me back into opening night because like Infinity War, I went to a late Thursday showing because I wanted nothing spoiled for me. The theater was sold out and the audience reactions were infectious to be in. The absolute roar in my theater when Captain America summoned Mjolnir was deafening and the rush of adrenaline I personally felt was crazy. Along with the roar of the portals opening and all the people we lost coming through. When Cap, says "Avenger's, Assemble" it was deafening as well. So now you know my secret, Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans will always be my favorite Captain America. No offense to Sam, I really like him but it isn't the same. With that being said, RDJ's Iron Man will also always be a close second. Black Widow's death floored me, Losing Tony, floored me, and then to top it off I lost Steve Rogers. I was glad he at least had a happy ending. I have to say that those actors gave it their all and I respect their desire or need to move on and do other things but damn, I'm going to miss them. They gave me 11 years of pure enjoyment and anticipation so I can't be angry about that. I knew this movie would "wreck" you but at the extent of how much it did broke my heart. I get it though, I'm not afraid to say that I cried and cheered and when the movie started it immediately hit me that what you were about to see what was going to happen to Hawkeye's family and it would hit you hard. Whether you like comic book movies or not, to me this was a master at story telling. Also, isn't ironic that you are about to watch Back to the Future and they mention it twice? Some people have over analyzed the time travel aspect of this movie and you know whatever, it doesn't really exist as far as we know, so who really knows how it would work if it could be done. There is a theory, that Captain America couldn't lift Mjolnir in The Age of Ultron because he was keeping the secret that he knew Bucky killed Tony's parents. Him revealing that secret cleared his conscience and it made him worthy. I could write a book about this movie and I sort of already have so I will leave it here. Just know your reaction, your emotion, your love for the MCU really brought me back to the first time I saw it. You killed this reaction and I am so glad no one spoiled it for you. Love you 3000, again awesome reaction, I'm worn out mentally myself because you pulled back in.

John A

There's one neat little detail I like to point out in this movie. If you think back to Civil War when Black Panther squared off with Hawkeye, Clint said to him, "Hi. My name's Clint," and T'Challa responded with, "I don't care." But in this movie, when Black Panther takes the gauntlet from Hawkeye near the end, he addresses him by name - "Clint! Give it to me." Showing that he did actually care to learn his name. I don't even know if that was intentional, but I like it.

Dude Longcouch

YES I KNEW you'd like this epic movie! and I was a little worried that those Back to the Future jokes would turn your interests off, but they're said with love because no one actually hates BTTF, that's insane. and even more good news that you're not stopping here and are even doing the shows in order? that's all I wanted to know. can't wait!

Mister Lou

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome experience with me! It's awesome that even after NINE rewatches this one still hits the same. That shows you just how powerful and timeless this movie is. I can't wait to see how my mindset of it shifts over rewatches and time! "I'm with you until the end of the line" is one of my top favorite quotes from the MCU journey so far! I can't believe that you can actually see Bucky whisper to Cap in that scene! My heart!! It makes their goodbye even more bittersweet. And yes you're so right- the actors commitment to this entire saga for over a decade is wildly impressive! Their dedication is a huge part of what makes these characters feel so real and relatable. The end credits was such a beautiful way to honor them and their time/dedication. Thank you for being on this journey with me! I can't wait to see more :)

Kali Wali

I completely understand getting teary over Natasha and Tony's deaths even after all these years. How could you not? Their journeys were so impactful and it's hard not to feel that loss after being so connected to these characters for so long. Karen Gillan absolutely killed it as Nebula I totally agree. She brought so much depth to a character that started as a secondary villain but ended up with one of the most compelling arcs in the saga. I didn't realize the shield handoff was such a hot topic in the fandom, but it makes sense! As for Phase 4, I hear you. I've seen a lot of differing opinions- Some people love it, some people don't. I went into The Matrix fully expecting to watch the series in entirety and was met with a lot of tension. I, of course, went through with it anyways and ended up falling in love with the first three movies and even consider the second a favorite of them! So, I think that's what makes movies so special and beautiful- We all view them differently through our eyes and brains and everyone's experience comes out differently. I really appreciate you being here for this journey! I'm very excited for Back to the Future (I've watched the first one already and can't wait for Part II now!) See you there!

Kali Wali

Glad you've been loving my reactions to these epic movies!! It's definitely been one heck of a ride through the MCU up to this point 🤣🤯

Kali Wali

Ooo okay! I was wondering if it was a nod for something or just for the ladies in the audience lol. Makes it better now knowing it was a nod to the Comics!

Kali Wali

That makes a lot of sense, actually. And I like this way better than believing that the Avengers knew all along the true mission for Nat and Clint 👀

Kali Wali

Hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed this journey! Thank you for following it alongside me!

Kali Wali

Omg my heart! I need to look out for that now!

Kali Wali

The absolute best advice I've ever seen about following my MCU journey! Love it, thank you!

Kali Wali

LOL all of the irony.

Kali Wali

Definitely! I even talked about it in the outro 🤣

Kali Wali

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me as well! It seriously makes this whole journey even more special to know that we're all feeling and sharing these moments together. It's a very fulfilling part of my work and I enjoy coming into the comments section with you all and just ranting about something we loved or hated for a bit ✨ It's what makes this journey so fulfilling for me! So seriously, thank you. I completely agree about Thor. His arc in Endgame hit deep and very personally, even. I think a lot of people definitely saw themselves in his struggle. The humor was there, but underneath all of it was a pain I never saw in Thor. A pain that made his jokes hurt a bit. That moment when he calls Mjolnir and realizes he is every bit still worthy, I was shook. Such a powerful scene in any Thor movie or the likes. It's a true reminder that even when we feel broken, even when we feel like a failure, we are still enough. We always were. And Cap- YES. That moment when he stands up alone against everything. It's such a pure representation of who he is. He doesn't fight because he thinks that he will win, he fights because it's the right thing to do. And I just love that the most about him. That shot of him, beaten but unwavering will stay with me for awhile. And Tony.. Not gonna lie, I still tear up a bit when I think about him. His entire arc is true perfection. From selfish to selfless, proving Cap's old words wrong in every heartbreaking, heroic way. He was the heart of the MCU and his ending felt like such a true endgame to it all. Thank you for being on this journey with me! I'm excited for Far From Home to finish out this Phase! See you there!

Kali Wali

I can definitely see this.

Kali Wali

I feel that short "pause" after Phase 3 ends before diving into Phase 4. Maybe only a week long though.. Haha. I'm too excited to get into Wandavision, Loki and Black Widow. Oh and the next Guardians! There's still a lot to look forward to, even though like you said some of it really is a hit-and-miss.

Kali Wali

Yesss Alan Silvestri's scores are legendary and his music is the sound of the MCU's most incredible moments. The way he just connects emotion, heroism and epicness all into his compositions is unreal. Endgame without a doubt wouldn't have been the same without him. Also I'm very intrigued now 👀 I'll be keeping an ear out!

Kali Wali

No need to apologize, at all! Totally valid- Thanos is an extremely compelling character, and Josh Brolin owned that entire role. His presence definitely different in Endgame compared to Infinity War and I love how you pointed that out! Even tho it's technically the same character, younger Thanos feels so much more ruthless and unrelenting! Like he's still in his prime, fully believing in his mission without the weight of what's to come. The power he has even without the stones is terrifyingly great. He took on Thor, Cap AND Iron Man at once and still wins for most of it. Insane!

Kali Wali

It had to be that one in 14 million chance.

Kali Wali

Hmmm, very true point. Maybe if they would have just jumped off it wouldn't have worked and the sacrifice would have been for nothing 👀🤯

Kali Wali

The headache was totally worth it. I loved this movie so much. It was painfully beautiful in every way 😂😭💚

Kali Wali

Ugh very true and painful point. Glad you enjoyed this one with me, tho!

Kali Wali

😂😂🤯🤯 Yes, yes it did lol.

Kali Wali

Awesome reaction...amazing!!! However, there is no way the MCU writers would give the Winter Soldier the shield. He, under hypnosis, killed Tony Stark's parents and killed multiple people over 70 years as an ex-Hydra agent.

Jonathan

The rat that saved the universe.

eladrin22

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, Ms. Beautiful LeakyFace. You have such a heart that shines through in your reactions. (and sorry about your headache)

Eric H

Here’s a question: is it really a “sacrifice” if you jump off the cliff of your own volition? Or does Hawkeye letting go of her hand make it qualify?

Richard

Im sorry but i just love Thanos, Josh Brolin smashed it. What makes him stand out to me in Endgame compared to Infinity War, is how more younger Thanos feels even tho its not that far apart, he is way faster and stronger physically even without stones he is prob the strongest there in a 1v1. But also how Thanos is. He loses and sees all his allies dissapear infront of him, he dosent yell or scream out and oppose, he just sits down takes a deep breath and looks down as he passes away!

Kristoffer Smedegaard

Good recall. Alan Silvestri wrote the scores for Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. And, just like several Marvel end credits, imagine the titles rolling up out of view, and in white text in the center of a black screen: “Alan Silvestri will return” I will say no more.

David Olden

I'm glad you're continuing with the MCU journey! I agree with others that, if you need a break/getting "Marvel-fatigue", this (or after Spider-Man: Far From Home) is a good "pause" moment. But from what you've said in your ending thoughts, it sounds like you're still raring to go with more MCU content. It's true that it may get a bit more hit-and-miss after this, but there are still truly amazing shows/movies/characters/moments ahead. ❤

Onno Smits

thanks, just thanks c: congrats for getting your own iron man prop ^^ may you be well c: o/ ps: the "if it plays the goodbye message Imma just keel over and die." made me laugh louder than it should have. 😭

I.Have.No.Band

Kali I have watched your reaction, and it is the greatest thing ever just like I knew it would be. You are as reliable as the sun coming up. Sorry you had to go through that emotional gauntlet 😭😭💕

Richard

Thank you for these reactions Kali, it's been amazing seeing this journey through fresh eyes. I love the completion of so many little arcs over these films. We see Steve finally lift Mjolnir, after wondering this whole time if he was worthy. We see Thor finally break after holding on for so long, losing so many people. We see Tony's arc take a full turn from where he was in the first Iron Man. Thor for me really hit a personal struggle. Depression is an absolute monster, and it can be so crippling, living with survivors guilt, plus all the loss he's sustained. They play his weight as a joke, but at the same time, there's such a raw emotion of the feeling of failure with him. And I'm sure lots of people relate to that. One of the best moments of the film for me is when he calls Mjolnir, and he says "I'm still worthy". That all his pain, and failures and struggles included.... he can still lift the hammer. Thats a really beautiful thing to see happen in a movie about all these cosmic forces, magic, and superpowers. Now Captain America has another moment that is incredibly powerful, and it isn't just him being worthy. Of course he's worthy, I mean he's the definition of selfless, and courageous lol. But in the moment after his shield is broken, and Thanos says he's going to enjoy destroying their planet, is where Steve truly shines. He has no allies around him, Tony and Thor are both unconscious. And Steve stands up, and fastens his shield around him. The shot where we see him walking up to Thanos' army, the bright light shining through the dark clouds, is just so sick. I love that he isn't the strongest, or the smartest, but his willpower is just unbreakable, you can't keep this man down 😅 Tony's arc calls back to Caps line from Avengers. He said that Tony isn't the guy to make the sacrifice play. Well he proved him wrong for the ultimate sacrifice. Tony made the transition to full selflessness and it's so touching to see. He's the heart of the MCU, and they couldn't have given him a better ending. Really excited for you to see the end of Phase 3, with Spider-Man: Far From Home! Thanks so much for everything you do Kali! ❤️

Lorenzo Baxter

In my opinion Tony Stark is the 2nd best character nehind Thanos, making him the best written "hero" in the MCU and i dont even think its close.

Kristoffer Smedegaard

I wonder what the cosmic repercussions would be be if Red Skull acted out instead of maintaining his cursed duties on vormir 🤔

KJ Gould

One thing I always wonder is what is Steve’s reaction to seeing Red Skull when returning the souls stone if I assume he’s still there.

TheJoeKerr

It's a great thought excercise. Unfortunately I worry that the truth lies in what Barton said in the film - it can't be undone. That and the fact that Vision was lost before the snap means they are lost to us in the main timeline (going forward) forever. :( The one thing I always wondered was the question that, because Cap stayed after dropping the stones back, is the main timeline now different? I guess that's not the case because of Hulk's explanation that a time traverler going to the past is still that time traveler's future - but it always makes my brain hurt! LOL

Matthew Murdick

I've seen John Williams twice in concert and I very much agree, he and Silvestri are in the highest class of film composers, for sure.

JD Nevesytrof

While I'm really really partial to John Williams (since I grew up a Lucasfim kid in the late 70s early 80s - yes I'm OLD) I can't possibly disagree with your assesment of Silvestri's body of work. Many a great film score from him over decades and varying franchises! Good call on BTTF. I also think Silvestri did the almost all the prior Avengers films and the first Captain America film, but I may be recalling incorrectly, so aplogies for not looking it up to make sure.

Matthew Murdick

Great reaction Kali. After all those years i still tear up a bit with Tasha and Tony´s deaths but i guess after such a long time you get quite connected to those characters. On the other side, back then we knew it was over for them cause their contracts ended with p3 and they didnt extended them. Endgame was a good closing Moment for the Infinity Saga, although there is still one Movie left in p3 with Far from Home. Despite the, in parts, huge plot holes in the Movie it still delivered a good storyline with great moments for all the main characters. Its rather sad that from here on it went downhill fast and hard. The Story went, like you said through all 5 phases of grief but still tried to stay true to every character dealing with those 5 phases a bit differently. Just a little heads up to Nebula, Karen Gillan played her role really well and was more convincing than most of the others, considering Nebula never was a big Character in the Franchise. A lot of Fans had a problem with handing the Shield to Falcon instead of Bucky because he was Steves best Friend and i spare you the reasons for it. One thing that makes me always chuckle when i watch Endgame is the Memory about the , sorry for my language, shitshow between Brie Larson and 2/3 of the cast. Btw Brie Larson shot Endgame before Captain Marvel. One big mistake you make is to think this was so good how could you top it. Its not that people who criticize p4 compare it to Endgame. It has nothing to do with that. Its just p4 was bad, in writing, Script, Cast or Character Development. It was preachy and the Strorytelling is plain stupid most of the time. Its not for nothing that Disney lost nearly 4 billion Dollars at the Box office with p4 alone. Im still undecided if i should comment on p4. Im happy for everyone who still can enjoy it but to know whats coming, even Endgame of Infinity War taste a bit bitter. If you want to know about the plot holes, hit me up on dm´s Anyway, enough ranting. Thanks again and see you with Back to the Future. Take care dear.

Curaitis

I also hope you enjoy the music of Back to the Future, that series and Infinity War/Endgame shared the same composer, Alan Silvestri, and I've always thought BTTF had one of the best movie scores of all time

JD Nevesytrof

You made it! I just finished sitting here watching it with you - and this is probably at least the 9th rewatch for me since my first three watches of this in the theaters - and I (yet again) felt every emotion you felt you did - for me watching this movie everytime is no less impactful than the first. I can tell you in my first (of three) theater watches, the entire audience was a blubbering mess, just like you, just like me (even this time). While Winter Soldier will probably always be a top film for me ("You're my friend" - "You're my mission" - "then finish it, because I'm with you until the end of the line" will NEVER not turn me into soup - this film is one that never wears out on me emotionally as a whole). Someone has probably already commented on this, but in the comics, Sam Wilson does become the new Captain America. The thing I did NOT catch on my very first watch in the theaters was the fact that Bucky knew what Cap was going to do at the end - guess they had a conversation about it before hand. I will forever miss Chris, Scarlett, and Robert Jr of course, but really for actors of that caliber to continually make films for a single franchise for over a decade is a real tribute to their commitment to the MCU story - and for that I am more grateful than I am mournful (at this point - it DID take a minute though! There's so much good stuff left to watch so please keep going. We'll be here "on your left".

Matthew Murdick

I'm glad to have been along with you, on your ride through the MCU. This movie is a wild ride. It's even crazier when you watch Infinity War and Endgame back to back. Your reactions are always so authentic and down to earth. x

Oliver Jayawant

Kali, do you now see what I meant when I mentioned that Endgame gave Mass Effect 3 feels? :)

JD Nevesytrof

I'm a bit of an empath, so I definitely got emotional during some scenes when you were. Especially "Avengers Assemble" onwards. The all women scene after Captain Marvel helps out Spider-Man is a nod to the Marvel Comics series A-Force. This could become a part of the future MCU, so maybe avoid spoilers.

KJ Gould

Right. And maybe she wanted a fresh start in 2014, somewhere in the universe. Or her soul exists between realms. Maybe she'll be restored by the more magical entities of the MCU.

KJ Gould

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself after Antman & the Wasp by commenting, “Rats, Antman is stuck in the quantum realm.” A rat is the unsung hero of Endgame. 🐁

Eric H

Thank you for all your time and effort and allow us to share in your journey. We appreciate you. I also just wanted to add a comment regarding the ppl who recommend not continuing after Endgame. I am not going to tell you whether you will enjoying everything in the future or not, but this is what comics and superhero hero stories are. They are like soap operas, or folktales. The stories will go on and on and will be continue to be told. Some will be great and some won't. Some will be small and some epic. It is up to you how you want to enjoy them.☮️🙏

Matthew

Just thought I would add to this. It is not explained as to what actually happened when Steve returns each stone, but we do know that returning the stones is not going to effect the main timeline. It is meant to fix the branch realities that were created when each stone was removed from its reality. So unfortunately there is no chance for our Natasha returning because Steve returned the Soul stone. But I suppose there is a possibility she returned to that 2014 branch reality.

Matthew

Wonderful as always. When you rewatch the end, you will notice that Bucky already knows what Cap is going to do. He says, "I'll miss you". You can surmise that they have already had the conversation about the next Cap and their future. You can now include Loki, Wandavision, and Falcon Winter Soldier. You definitely watch them at the same.

Trevor Go

A quick addition to the did-they-know-about-Vormir question: Cap probably had no idea about it at all, and Nebula and Tony (via Nebula) were the only ones who knew where the Soul Stone was. And all Nebula knew was that Gamora didn't survive, but not that a mortal sacrifice was required to obtain it. So at best, Nebula could only have guessed that it was a dangerous mission. Even Gamora, who found the map, only knew where it was, but not the sacrifice element. If she had, chances are she would've tried to avoid going with Thanos in Infinity War.

Andy Jordan

It's not offensive.. It just doesn't make much sense 😭 it's a reaction channel, so you'd think people expect to witness genuine emotional responses.. which is not what people saying what you say leave a lot of room for when they try to shape the reactor's expectations..(if you ask me that's spoiler territory.. it's debatable that "prepare kleenexes" is as well, but in this case it feels like you're not opening doors but closing them hm.) Let people feel things, be surprised, be disappointed even, that's just as valid :/ good thing mature people can form their own opinion. Anyway, my pastas must be ready now, and I'm about to enjoy some great cinema again c: yayy

I.Have.No.Band

Oh. let's. ACTUALLY. go.

I.Have.No.Band

A totally valid thought and opinion! After watching Endgame it's so hard to see how they could possibly top it.. And it's not surprising to see that they couldn't 😭✨ Still looking forward to the arcs and storylines though!

Kali Wali

I'm glad you're excited for this crazy ride! I loved this movie so much.. I needed a whole recovery day after it haha. Thank you!

Kali Wali

LOL you're not wrong 🤣

Kali Wali

Happy Friday!!

Kali Wali

👀👀👀 I haven't thought about this... I hope it's true.. I hope it's Natasha's

Kali Wali

again this is the best the mcu has to offer....there are some good things after but it's not common after this. anyway love your reactions, sorry if i offend other on this....

Cregg Riley

Can't wait to watch this! Kali, you always have the best combination of emotion and keen insight! 😊

Phil Stubblefield

Yesss, I 100% agree. This was seriously a once in a lifetime experience. It felt like so much more than 'just another movie'. Absolutely incredible!

Kali Wali

LOL "cry with you while I eat" 🤣😭 Happy Friday! I hope you enjoy this when you can finally relax later this evening!

Kali Wali

This message seriously filled my heart! Thank you so much! Not just for the kind words, but for sharing in this journey with me. It has been a seriously awesome experience, and knowing that it means so much to people like you makes it even more special. I completely agree that no other studio has been able to replicate what Endgame accomplished. Wow. The way it intertwines all of the storylines together from over a decade of storytelling into something so emotional and so powerful is truly one of a kind! I loooove that Mike Posner quote! Such a beautiful way to look at life, change, and everything that feels like a goodbye but it's really just a brand-new chapter. I hear you on the next phase of Marvel. I know it was a turning point for a lot of fans, but I'm definitely still excited to stay on this ride even through the uphill climbs. There are still so many stories I'm excited to dive into (Wandavision, Loki, Black Widow, Guardians 3 to name a few off the top of my head)! If the MCU has taught me anything so far, it's that even when things change, there is always something worth holding onto. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts after you can finally watch later tonight! Happy Friday! 💚

Kali Wali

Ahh awesome breakdown of Professor Hulk's history! I love seeing how these arcs translate from the comics to the movies. I feel like the comics showing that the balance between Banner and Hulk is never really successful makes a lot of sense given how much tension there has always been between them. I do wonder if the MCU will ever explore that again or if this version of Hulk is just here to stay. The idea of Hulk's persona slowly pushing through over time could definitely be an interesting direction since we never really got to see much of that conflict play out in Endgame at all. Once again I felt like Hulk's storyline just kind of presented itself with no real deeper explanation. And even though it made me sad, I've just kind of learned to accept it and tell myself that one day I'll get to the Hulk comics and rewatch these movies and most likely love him in a different light. Either way, I really appreciate the Hulk insight! Can't wait to hear your thoughts once you check out the reaction if you want to share them, too!

Kali Wali

The one thing I continuously think about and we have yet to find out: if Steve returned all the stones to their place in the timeline, does returning the Soul Stone release a Soul? If so, whose? Natasha's? It's a daunting mystery.

KJ Gould

THAT look from Strange makes complete sense now. The first time around, it just seems vague and ominous. But now it's seriously everything! He knew. He knew exactly what had to happen and the way he holds up one finger to Tony? Chills. I knew what it meant, but I didn't want to believe it. Seriously still jealous of everyone that got to experience these movies in theatres as they released. It must have been unreal. Seeing it twice back-to-back is legendary! I honestly couldn't imagine if this was delayed.. This seriously was the perfect ending to that era and Endgame was 100% a once in a lifetime cinematic event 😭

Kali Wali

Thanks for that awesome well-thought-out reply. One thing I'm almost positive I'm going to hear at one point during the reaction is "where the heck is Captain Marvel?!?" :)

Richard

Congratulations on concluding maybe the most exciting and innovative cinematic experiment in a long, long while. The MCU came along and blew us all away by basically making the most expensive and amazing 'TV series' ever made, and the cohesion, the way it honored its own lore and developed its characters, was nothing short of amazing, especially for a superhero setting.

JD Nevesytrof

Yes! Ant-Man & The Wasp ended up being sooo important and I love that the movie that felt more like a lighthearted side quest ended up being a huge key into saving everything. They weaved ALL of these stories together so well just to display all of them in this epic finale. Wow. The Tony/Steve parallel.. You put it perfectly. Tony spent years rejecting Steve's ideals, but in the end, he became the one to lay it all on the wire. That full-circle moment makes his sacrifice hit even harder.. it was so devastating but also felt so right for his arc. I also really agree about Steve's ending too. It was so hard to say goodbye, but after everything that Steve has given, he deserved this beautiful, quiet and happy life. And the look on his face, ugh. So satisfying to see that he was finally at peace and truly happy and where he belonged. And Scott with Cassie 😭 He fought so hard to be there for her, only to lose five whole years of her life in the end.. But their reunion was so special and beautiful, and at least now he can be the dad he always wanted to be. I don't think I'll ever be done processing this movie in its entirety. There is so much within it. So many callbacks, closures, and emotions. It's just so good!

Kali Wali

Oh man I am so ready for this, too bad I still got another 6 hours of work left. Can't wait to get home, get some food, and cry with you while I eat lol

Christopher Larimer

This movie was SOO good. I can totally see 100% now why they just couldn't top it with anything else that came out after it. This truly was a love letter to MCU fans and I loved every second of it! Except I was a little broken after, too haha Enjoy it on Saturday and if you want to share I'm looking forward to your thoughts! ✨

Kali Wali

Honestly, the most incredible gift that I was not expecting!! Beautiful message with it too 💚😭 I appreciate your thoughtfulness so much. It was the perfect gift to open at the end of such a heavy film and I'm so thankful to have an awesome community that has showered me with deeper dives and thoughtfulness! Looking forward to your thoughts whenever you get a chance to dive into this amazing movie!! Thank you so much! ✨ (P.S. Amazon should be dropping off some batteries this weekend so I'll post some pictures on here when they come in of it all lit up! I'm very excited to see what it looks like on!)

Kali Wali

Oh wow! I don't even know where to start 😂✨ This message honestly gave me chills all over again. I barely survived this first watch, and I don't think I'll ever really be the same after this one. I can't look at my Captain America mug the same way, and I even found an awesome Endgame wallpaper for my desktop and I find myself just staring at it feeling all nostalgic about it all 😅 When the portals opened and Cap said "Avengers.. Assemble" I lost it haha. Full-body chills for sure. As for your questions, you hit on so many of the things that I've also been thinking about. The idea that Cap might have sent Nat and Clint knowing the cost!? Yes. It's haunting to think about and I honestly don't know if he would have... How would he have known, though? The people that directly knew what Thanos did to acquire the stone were Tony and Nebula. They had to of mentioned it to someone at some point, right?? I don't think it was a coincidence that Nat and Clint went to that place together.. But maybe it was? Maybe it was fate? I honestly don't know.. Maybe it was truly that "one chance" that Strange saw, but either way, it makes their moment on Vormir even heavier to think about. Wanda was absolutely about to destroy Thanos. 100%. She could with the 'snap' of her fingers (pun intended). He had to actually rain down fire in order to escape her grasp. I know I said no more top 5's or 8's after this one, but Wanda is a true favorite of mine after this Phase. And yes hahaha. The actual cosmic comedy of a rat being the key to saving the entire universe!? I love how much that rat symbolizes just how fragile and random fate is. There are so many layers within this film that I'll be thinking about forever. It was just TOO good. Every scene had something to dive deeper into. Adn the arcs.. Tony, Cap, Thor, even Nebula. They all got such wild and satisfying conclusions that ripped me apart. Tony's journey from that cave in Iron Man to this exact moment... my heart ached. And the father/son mother/son moments? Jeez. Not just fan service, completely earned. I would honestly need an entire video just to process everything, but for now, I just want to say thank you so much. Your love for this entire series is super infectious and it makes me extremely grateful to have a community of amazing fans like you helping me experience this journey to its fullest! I'll never not cry at we love you 3,000 💚🤣😭

Kali Wali

Musician is Mike Posner. And the song was "Move On" It's quite on the nose, but it is still effective

iameNeRG (Rodney Gant)

It’s here! Kali if you go back to Infinity War notice the look Dr Strange gives to Tony when he asks how many did we win and Dr Strange says 1. Now you understand why he just gave up the time stone. All for that moment for Tony to sacrifice himself. For me in the theaters in 2019 I saw the movie twice b2b. 2nd time I noticed how quiet it got and all you could hear were some sniffles and sobs from the crowd at the end. This was the last movie I saw in theaters that year and then covid happened. Can you imagine an alternate timeline if this movie was delayed and had came out a year later!

TheJoeKerr

Great to see you react to this movie, and the climax of the infinity saga. Haven’t watched the reaction yet but your take is always nice to see. As for Hulk in the movie the situation with him is sort of reminiscent to an arc and a character that happened in the comics called Professor Hulk, originally Professor Hulk was meant to a merging of Banner and Hulk’s personalities, but over time it was retconned and Professor just got seen as a different Hulk persona who had Banner’s level of intelligence and Bruce and Hulk just went back to their usual dynamic of back and forth like Dr Jekyll and Mister Hyde, the situation in the movie is more of Banner putting his mind in the Hulk’s body which has happened a few times in the comics but what’s consistent about those instances is that never lasts long and the Hulk persona slowly starts to emerge.

Justin Garlington

This is definitely on my list of things to do on Saturday! Can't wait!!! Just reading your description now was amazing 👏 🤩 You have such an eye for the details and remembering the past films and how they all intertwine with each other

P T

I agree - I have lost count of the number of times I've seen this and it is so amazing! I have question: where is the quote "Beginnings always hid themselves in ends" come from? I love that!

The Dingo

When having Fridays off is awesome!

Scott S

You're very welcome for the helmet! I won't be able to watch this reaction today, but I will watch it either late tonight or in the morning and share my thoughts on your thoughts. Thank you for providing us such great content - you do make us feel as if we are there with you, and I always look forward to your videos!

The Dingo

Awww, damn on my way to work right now, and this is going to be a Friday to remember! I'm so proud of you for taking on this journey! We have finally made it. I cannot express to you how many times I have watched this movie, and I have cried every single time. The combination of stories is just incredible! This is something that Studios have tried to replicate after, to no avail. It is truly a masterpiece. And I love your statement in your paragraph about the end. It reminds me of a quote that I once heard from a musician; "Beginnings always hide themselves in ends". It is a quote that has stayed with me throughout my entire life and has helped me to find the beauty in moving on from certain things that I would usually hold on to. This next phase of Marvel is a part of it that a lot of people dropped off of, and understandably so, but I do hope that you stay strong and continue to react because there are still more beautiful stories to experience and amazing characters to discover. Either way, thank you for inviting us to take this journey with you. Always, more blessings to you 🙏🏾❤️

iameNeRG (Rodney Gant)

Ah awesome. I'll watch your reaction later. I do love it shows how important the interim movies were, but especially Antman & The Wasp as it gave us the plot device to make Endgame possible. Tony after spending years arguing with Steve about 'cutting the barbed wire' finally did what Steve said sometimes needs to happen - laying on the wire to save everyone else fighting beside you. I honestly feel it's such a perfect ending to the saga with Steve getting the life he missed. But bittersweet, I feel bad for Scott Lang: everything he did in his arc was so he could be there for Cassie growing up, and Thanos robbed him of 5 precious years of that. But at least they're reunited.

KJ Gould

So it’s happened, and you’ve survived somehow. Kali I will cry so hard with you when I watch this. Things I would love to get your thoughts on (not all at once of course): 1. Did Cap send Natasha and Clint to Vormir on purpose, knowing what had to happen and confident they would get it done? Or was that just part of the “1 chance”? 2. The cosmic meta-comedy of a rat releasing Scott from the quantum realm. Probably in millions of the timelines Strange saw, Scott was trapped forever 3. Wanda was totally going to wreck Thanos, right? 4. Tony’s amazing arc beginning in that cave in Afghanistan and Yinsen telling him “don’t waste your life” (he sure didn’t) 5. The wild arcs of Cap, Thor, and even Nebula 6. Did you think from Bucky’s expression that he knew what Cap was going to do at the end? 7. That awesome curveball the directors threw at us when Thanos was killed in the first 15 minutes 8. Did you like intelligent Hulk? That was a big arc in the comics 9. Kali what is your opinion of Tony & his dad and Thor & his mom - lame fan service or totally awesome? There were SO MANY scenes in Endgame that were set up in earlier films, I’m sure you caught a lot of them with Cap wielding Mjilnor being the most obvious but there so many more. Banner wondering what his purpose was in the first Avengers movie, Tony telling him “we’ll find out”. Black Panther calling Clint by his first name after refusing to do so in Civil War. From Ultron: “Avengers! As . . ..” and so on. I apologize if you covered any of this in your outro but I haven't watched it yet. MY THEATER EXPERIENCE: 1. The filmmakers seamlessly inserting all this awesome new footage into previous movies absolutely took my breath away and I just sat there dumbfounded the whole time 2. All the crazy time heist scenes had us going crazy, with Cap vs Cap being one that got one of the loudest reactions from the crowd 3. When Thanos discovered the plan, the terror that permeated the theater was palpable. Then, after the directors doing a great job of distracting us, cutting to Natasha and Clint on Vormir and you could hear a pin drop in the theater as we all went “oh no”. 4. Thanos’ ship coming through the quantum tunnel and then destroying Avengers HQ was terrifying. And then later, the incredible screams and shouts of everyone when Cap lifted Mjilnor; when the resurrected heroes began appearing through the portals; Tony and Peter reunite; Wanda’s rage, Carol destroying Thanos’ ship, Tony’s snap. Chaos in the theater and the only time I ever sat in a theater where everyone was crying. They used Spider-Man again to get the most emotional response, just like in Infinity War, and Tony’s death scene was one of the greatest in cinematic history. Craziest theater experience ever. What scenes gave you chills the most? I can’t wait to see your reaction to Secretary and Chonky Doorman making a comeback! This is my favorite film so I was very jacked to watch it with you, but you probably couldn't tell because I was so low-key about it ;) Now I have to hurry and finish work and get home because this is, to my extreme amazement and joy, the first time I’ll have the opportunity to sync up and actually watch the movie along with your reaction. I’ve been holding this one back awhile, but Kali WE LOVE YOU 3,000!!!!

Richard

Buckle up people, the day is here!
