πŸ€ This Week's Schedule 🍿

Hey everyone!

First and foremost, I just want to thank you all for your kind messages and well wishes during this difficult time with my grandmother. Your love and support truly turned last week around for me mentally, and I can't express how much it means. You are the best community I could have ever asked for. πŸ’š Right now, she is in the hospital again but keeps begging to leave. She wants to be in the comfort of her own bed, but her fibrosis has gotten so bad that she needs increased oxygen from the hospital for now until they feel comfortable sending her home. Phone calls have gotten harder and harder because of her oxygen levels. But the moments that we do have are always spent reminiscing about memories. Even though these times are really hard, like many of you pointed out, I'll look back on this and be thankful that I had this time with her.

Now, let's talk about this week's lineup because it's an extremely packed one full of exciting stories!

✨ WandaVision | Episodes 1 & 2
I was really excited to see that this would be my introduction to Phase 4 of the MCU! I'll be watching the first two episodes, and depending on time, I'll likely keep up a pace of 2-3 episodes per week. I can't wait to see Wanda in her very own series!

πŸͺ– The Pacific | Episodes 5, 6, & 7
After taking a bit of a mental break last week, I'm fully ready to dive back into this show that showcases marine's mental health in such an impactful way. While I'm a little nervous to take on three episodes in one week, I know this story is important, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the Pacific theatre and following these marines' journey to the end.

🚘 Back to the Future Part III
We're wrapping up the Back to the Future trilogy with Part III! I am sooo excited to see the chaos unfold in the Wild West with Doc and Marty. After my very slight spoiler (hahaha), I can't wait to finally watch this one! And maybe some RDR2 outfits will make a reappearance πŸ‘€

🎟️ Good Will Hunting | Movie Ticket Pick
This week's Movie Ticket pick comes from our amazing member, Ian! We're diving into another Matt Damon movie, which I'm really excited for. Plus, seeing Robin Williams is going to be special for me. He was a childhood favorite of mine growing up and I watched Jumanji so many times as a kid that my VHS tape literally exploded one day in the VCR.. still one of the more devastating childhood moments I remember 🀣

This week is absolutely stacked! And I'm so excited to experience all of these stories with you. Can't wait to see you all out there! 🍿🍡

I got Wi-Fi briefly! Thanks for the update on Maki πŸ˜”We wish we knew her. Awesome lineup this week! Everyone have a great rest of the week πŸ˜ƒ. - Greetings from the Bahamas

Richard

I am so looking forward to your reaction to WandaVision. It is one of my favorite MCU shows, lots of mystery and comedy. The Multiverse Saga is a lot of new concepts, heroes, and villains, so take your time grasping things and ask questions if you're not sure. We'll try to keep things spoiler free. I've been enjoying the BoB and The Pacific marathons with your reactions. It's given me a whole new appreciation for my granddad's service(mom's dad was a bomber pilot and dad's dad was Navy). I've never seen Good Will Hunting, but I've heard a lot of people talk great things about it. Love the BTTF series so far, looking forward to wrapping it up. Keep up the great work, Kali.

Paul Wright

Happy St, Patrick's Day, Kali.....πŸ’™β˜˜

james flack

Ooo good will hunting watched it recently for the first time.

C. J. Ramirez

Oh wow, never seen Good Will Hunting eh? You're in for a classic!

John A

I started WandaVision over the weekend and I'm already like 6 episodes in haha, I'm hooked! That's all I'll say, and will let you experience it all for yourself! Also, hesitantly excited to jump back into The Pacific, and definitely very very much looking forward to wrapping up Back to the Future this week! I also love that the movie ticket pick is, once again, introducing me to a movie I've heard soooo much about but never watched! So I'm for sure excited to check that one out myself tonight

M1 Maz

Good Will Hunting is one of my favorites πŸ’œ

C.80

Good Will Hunting was my first choice, but I'd figured someone else would most likely pick it, and I was right. You're going to love this movie. It's an absolute favorite of mine.

Will Castillo

Looking forward to your journey into phase 4. I love wandavision

Jim

We're always happy to see you here, Kali, but as always, please feel free to any extra time for yourself and your family that you need. We aren't going anywhere. I'm so sorry your grandmother, you and your family are going through this. Continuing to send good thoughts your way. Good classic pick, Ian, with Good Will Hunting. It's cool that we get two what I consider perfect screenplays (BttF and GWH) so close to each other, both screenplays being widely taught in screenwriting and film studies courses. As I remember, Matt Damon wrote it for a screenwriting course at Harvard as a one-act screenplay, and then fleshed it out after graduating. Damon and Affleck so deserved their Best Screenplay Oscar. WandaVision definitely kicks off Phase 4 on a high note. And speaking of high notes and BttF, I'm very much looking forward to you closing out the trilogy. Alongside LotR, the original Star Wars, and Richard Linklater's Before trilogy, BttF is a top all-time perfect trilogy. Be well, Kali, and take good care of yourself. All my best to you and your family during such a difficult time. Take care.

Andy Jordan

Wow, Kali, how do you keep coming up with such killer line ups?!? 😲

Phil Stubblefield

I lost my grandparents when I was a teenager. At the time, I was more concerned with hanging out with my friends and going out. Than spending time with my grandparents A part of me still feels bad about that. I’m glad to see you take advantage of the time you do have Life is uncertain. No one knows how much time we get to have with our loved ones. The trick is to leave absolutely no doubt in the other person’s mind what you mean to them Take care Kali

Robert da Spruce

Bicentennial Man is soo good. Really like that and What Dreams May Come from Robin.

Scott S

I remember watching Wandavision and being so confused at the beginning wondering where in the world are they going with this? By the end it makes sense but wow what an awesome way to start the first marvel episodic series on Disney +

TheJoeKerr

Another excellent line up. I will give a tissue warning for Good Will Hunting though.

KJ Gould

Wandavision is one of my favorite things the MCU produced, so I'm so looking forward to this. Also don't be worried if things are confusing at first, you aren't alone.

Anna Kyruin

Hi Kali, Just to let know, did you know that Michael J Fox (Back to the future) also played the lead character in a war movie? This is it: Casualties of War 1989 Another Robin Williams movie wich is close to my heart is: Bicentennial Man I guess to have a ticket to watch 1 of them?. "Well…I leave you to it then"πŸ˜‡ 1999

Evert Jethoe

Stay strong dear. Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the 'hero' within us is revealed. Also... Great line up this week. Episode 1-2 of Wandavision showed the huge potential the show could have had. Pacific is just amazing. BttF is a great end for the Trilogy and Good Will Hunting is phenomenal. *hint* bring tissues and yes, Robin Williams still hurts.

Curaitis

An all time favorite of mine on the list and I didn't even recommend it!

Scott S

Another extremely stacked week.
