From the moment I realized Will was using his brilliance to push people away, deflect with jokes, and act like nothing could touch him, I recognized parts of myself I don't always love to acknowledge. The way he carried his past like it was no big deal, like it didn't shape him, felt painfully familiar. But what hit me the hardest was seeing the weight of his trauma come bubbling up to the surface, especially in his sessions with Sean. The 'It's not your fault' scene had me cracking right alongside Will. It was a true reminder that the things we go through don't have to define us, no matter how much they shape us.
Huge thanks to Ian for making his Movie Ticket pick an amazingly beautiful story! I absolutely loved this movie and the deeper messages within that sometimes felt like I was holding a mirror to my own past.
