Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries | Full Reaction

I did NOT expect to feel so deeply for the characters right out of the gate, but here I am, already emotionally invested in Adama, Roslin, Starbuck, and even Gaius in his chaotic genius way. The tone was absolutely haunting. There was so much weight in every decision, and the show did such an incredible job at capturing that sense of looming collapse through pure human emotion. And the Cylons being indistinguishable from humans? Oh boy. It raises soooo many philosophical and moral questions that I can already tell this series is going to explore deeply (and I'm totally here for it!).
I think what excites me the most is that this story has sooo much potential going forward. It feels like it's about identity, faith, trust, and what it really means to be human when everything around is crumbling. And I absolutely can't wait for Season 1 with you all. If the miniseries is any indication, I'm in for one heck of a journey!

By now you have probably figure out that Humans have a polytheistic pantheon of deities while the Cylons have just one. Here in the miniseries, the show did not yet have the polytheism vs. monotheism bits quite worked out (among other things).

What a fantastic reaction! You seem to pick on on little details that so many people leave out. Edward James Olmos is just fantastic as Commander Adama and they were so lucky to get an actor of his caliber to play such a part. I just love his gravitas! Speaking of character names and such, a good place to get them at this time is a screen capture from the credits of this video. If you use Google, you WILL get spoilers about rank changes and such. Speaking of spoilers, not all reactors like to watch all of the show's intro. There is an easy to identify section that changes each week with very, very quick snippets of the rest of the show. They are over a fast drum beat, so it's easy to tell where they start and stop should you decide to look away. Many reactors do, others decide that it's part of the show so it makes for a good guessing game. When the show was new, I personally didn't watch them during my first viewing, but I leave this up to you! One more thing this week! You commented on my absolute favorite ship, the president's assistant Billy and Dee (Dualla) from the CIC! I love them! If anyone two could convince Commander Adama that it's time to start having babies, it's those two!
