Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight! 🤣 I was genuinely surprised by how quickly the storyline swept me up into its fast-paced chaos and clever absurdity. The slapstick humor and rapid-fire dialogue (which I think some of the spicier things honestly went over my head, I'm sorry hahaha) made an entire whirlwind of comedy feel both classic and timeless. This movie felt like stepping into a world where everything was slightly off-kilter, in the best way LOL.

Huge thanks to Sterling LaLoge for sharing this Movie Ticket pick with the community! This kind of humor isn't something I usually seek out, so it was definitely a refreshing change of pace and gave us all a reason to laugh together. There's something special about a film that leans so heavily into its ridiculousness and still manages to feel smart and engaging! I'm thankful for the experience!

I second these, as well as recommend Phantom of the Opera and Hamilton. There are other music-based movies I'd recommend but I'll wait to say.

I’ve never seen this movie but now I guess I have a reason to watch it. I do like Musicals a lot. Have you seen Wicked? If not I highly recommend it. Also Les Miserables is a great musical as well.

Russell Rutigliano

The story here is like the comedy of Roman times, with young romance, coincidences, mistaken identity, devious slaves, bragging soldiers, lecherous elders, and even twins and pirates. The production itself is a good snapshot of the cusp between the Swinging London mid-60s and the counterculture late-60s. And these two begat Monty Python. This is the same year the Star Trek original series began -- with similar women's hair styles, even though set in the distant past and the far future.
