And honestly, I went into this expecting it to feel like seeing Captain America in a quiet drama. Instead, I found myself completely floored by Chris Evans in a role that felt so raw, human, and real. From the very first scene, he sheds the shield and becomes Frank, a man who is carrying more pain than he lets on but still shows up every single day for the niece he loves more than anything. Watching him navigate the delicate line between protecting Mary's brilliance and giving her a shot at a normal childhood absolutely wrecked me. This movie was so tender, tense, and brilliantly layered.
A huge thank you to Will for choosing this film! It was a beautiful surprise. It reminded me how powerful quiet stories can be, and how much range Evans has beyond the MCU. If you've ever loved someone so fiercely it scared you, this one will hit home.

I like Chris Evans just fine, he is a decent actor, but the standout on this movie is the little girl, McKenna Grace. That role was not easy, and she is incredible in it! Gave me all the feels. Sadly, growing up, she suffers from scoliosis, which has somewhat limited her acting career - I think she is in the latest Ghostbuster reboots, but haven't seen those.
