Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones| Full Reaction

I have to say this was a very awesome step up from Episode I! I was honestly a little worried it would lean into the same cheesy tone as the last installment. But they really switched gears here, and it worked.

The story deepened in a way that pulled me in emotionally again. Watching Anakin's inner conflict grow felt very real. His desire to love, to protect, to feel everything so deeply was both heartbreaking and extremely fascinating. And even though I know where it is all heading, there is something so tragic about witnessing how it begins. His downfall isn't rooted in hate, but instead how much he cares. That nuance hit me harder than I expected.

Also, the lightsaber fights and effects??? YES. Absolutely delivered. Visually stunning, with real weight and intensity behind them. I found myself fully locked in during those scenes and watching Yoda get in on some of that action was epic!

This chapter had so much more momentum, and now I seriously can't wait for Episode III. Bring on the heartbreak, the action, the unraveling... I'm here for it.

I’ve seen this movie so many times now, yet one detail I missed was the shadow on Tatooine — so glad you pointed that out! One small detail you might have missed is that, after Anakin slays the Sand People and tells Padmé he hates them, it might be the first time the score plays the Darth Vader theme. In the animated series The Clone Wars, where Anakin’s dedication to justice and goodness is emphasized, this also happens a few times. That series takes place between Episode II and Episode III.

Most of the Imperial Stormtroopers in the original trilogy are conscripted civilians. Most of the clones have been decommissioned and phased out after the fall of the Republic between episodes III and IV.

I laughed so hard when you realized that Anakin must’ve had a love interest for Luke and Leia to exist. And of course, he somehow found the woman with the strongest pelvis in the galaxy (she took that fall from the pillar onto the back of that beast like it was nothing!).
