Loki | S1 E5 | Full Reaction

This episode was absolutely wild in the best way. It kind of felt like dropping into a dreamscape stitched together from chaos, loss, and eerie hope (if that makes sense lol). The Void was terrifying, but fascinating. Watching all of the Loki variants interact was both hilarious and kind of touching? They would be the only ones left thriving in a place like this 🤣 I love how much this show keeps circling back to questions of identity, purpose, and change. It does it in a really creative way, too.

I'm so excited to watch the finale with you all next week! This buildup has been extremely satisfying, and it feels like everything is finally about to turn into something big. This also unexpectantly turned into a blind reaction for me, which was a really awesome surprise! I'm completely in and care about these Loki's way more than I ever expected to.

This episode was great. So cool seeing all the Lokis together and really furthered the theme of what it means to be a Loki. It also showed the growth of our Lokis compared to the others. And I loved all the cuts to Alligator Loki. His expression was the same but you kind of interpreted how he felt based on the events and timing of the cuts. A couple of other comic nods that you noticed: this episode had the Thanos copter. The copter first appeared in a kids' comic that was not even officially part of the main Marvel universe, but it became a running joke among Marvel fans that there was this helicopter that Thanos would ride around in that said THANOS on it. It's worth a google, because the images from the original comic are hilarious. The other comic easter egg was Throg. You said that there was a loki in a jar, but that was not it. It is actually a frog version of Thor called Throg.

This one will always be the cheeseburger episode for me. Okay hear me out - I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago after that time when I was really sick. While I was sick, I was always hungry (and especially craving burgers) but couldn't eat anything. Finally feeling better, I went to McDonalds close by, got a bunch of cheeseburgers, brought them home, and devoured them while watching this episode LOL ANYWAY, I love how all the themes we've been exploring this season collided in this episode! All those long slow conversations between Loki and Sylvie, and with Mobius, all came around full circle here. Loki and Sylvie's conversation out on the hill with the blanket was especially beautiful. Also, even further dove into that "who am I?" question. Really showing that who and what a Loki is goes beyond the surface of mischief. Loved the old Loki especially, and how powerful he is. Of course, only a Loki would smile and laugh in the face of death. Great episode! Also, random subtitles side note - Like a year ago, I turned them off on everything, including on games, and it was a total game changer! I felt so much more immersed in everything taking in words spoken only through my ears, instead of also with my eyes
