For the first time in awhile, it felt like hope finally broke through that cloud of dread covering the fleet. Watching Adama take the offensive was such a huge shift and it was exciting (but also a bit nerve-wracking) to see these characters actively reach for something instead of just trying to survive.
Lee's arc in this episode really resonated with me. There was something powerful about watching him finally step into his own and not just follow orders or do what everyone wants him to do. He chose leadership in real time and his decision in that final moment wasn't just tactical, it was deeply human. Risky. Inspiring. And I think that says so much about how he is evolving.
Then there's Baltar. Lol. His internal tug-of-war between logic and belief is very compelling. And the show's ability to blur the line between delusion and divinity is incredible. Whether he's being manipulated or receiving something truly prophetic, I don't know yet. And I'm not sure if I ever will. But this episode's closing and Baltar's eyes looking up towards God gave me chills.
