Jurassic Park (1993) | Summertime Vibes Film | Full Reaction

Happy Summer Solstice, everyone! ☀️🍓 The first film of the summer was this one and it absolutely DID NOT disappoint. I knew these films were a big deal, but I honestly didn't expect to love the story this much. Yes, the dinos were iconic (and they honestly held up pretty well visually!) but what really sucked me in was the depth that went into this!

This movie wasn't just about action and roars. It's thoughtful, suspenseful, and surprisingly emotional! I blame John Williams for any goosebumps/tears throughout this watch lol. It's what I'd consider a soft sci-fi. Not really about how the science can work, but more about what if!? And I absolutely loved that part of it.

I also loved the characters so much. Especially Dr. Chaos (as I was calling him). He reminds me of a more distinguished Dr. Baltar before he gets swept up by a crazy Cylon lol. He somehow manages to be the voice of reason and the guy with the most iconic one-liners. He absolutely stole every scene he was in.

All in all, I feel like I just opened the door to something epic. I get why this film became a classic! And I'm really excited to keep going and explore the rest of the Jurassic Park series this summer with you all. Bring on the chaos!

Yes this movie was amazing in theaters in the early 90's. Honestly the effects have held up pretty well up to today too. The first T-Rex scene when they're in the SUV's was absolutely terrifying at first watch. I like the theme of nature vs control. And the moral implications of developing technology too quickly. You should read the book if you ever get the chance. It delves further into that depth you were talking about. I like Lost World up to a certain point. You've seen it now so I bet you can guess where it goes off the rails. Starting with 3 they get pretty silly, but they're all still fun watches. Not sure if you follow Ryan George or the Pitch Meeting channel, but when you're done you should check out the Pitch Meetings for these movies. They're epic!
