This was probably my favorite episode out of the entire series. It was about tainted legacy, identity, and the emotional toll of carrying a symbol that was never made for someone like you.
Sam's conversation with Isaiah was so real. Hearing the truth, the real unfiltered truth, of how America treats its heroes was sobering. It was personal. And seeing how Sam handled and sat with it all but still chose to rise was something I won't forget.
And Bucky... his quiet journey to healing was powerful in its own way. And the convo him and Sam have is one we all need to hear sometimes. Their growth, maturity and vulnerability was inspiring. I'm glad the series gave Bucky's grief so much space and showed the path towards healing so beautifully.
See you all in the final episode. I don't think I'm ready, but i NEED to see our new Captain America's suit!! 💙

The US Government may have discarded John like a spent weapon, but they also weren’t like “Hey guess what: we don’t have super serum, but as soon as you find some you take it.” And Lemar’s sister wasn’t fooled. I didn’t notice it true first time, but when I rewatched it in Spanish with my family (who were watching it for the first time), my own sister picked up on that. It makes sense. Maybe they don’t have social media, but she undoubtedly has more access to current events and the footage itself doesn’t lie. @17:24 Congratulations. You’re one of the few who reacted to phase four correctly. We were supposed to meet Valentina in Black Widow 2020, but then the pandemic happened and we ended up meeting her in this series instead. Our reactions were all “who are you?” when we were supposed to be all “hey, I know you.”

And then used the rest of the time to give us a chance to catch our breath and reflect in all the quiet moments and deep conversations. And tie together so many of the running themes throughout the series. On to the next one!
