Added 2025-08-03 13:00:11 +0000 UTCThe entire Jurassic Park journey has been such a fun and chaotic ride this summer! I absolutely loved my time deep diving into this franchise. It was thrilling, thought-provoking, and honestly so much fun. From the awe of seeing dinosaurs for the first time, to the chaos theory ramblings of Dr. Chaos, this series has been one I'll definitely cherish for so many reasons.
Even though Dominion had a few storyline hiccups, especially the whole Maisie storyline, I didn't mind it at all. Maisie's arc turned out to be surprisingly fulfilling and full of beautiful messages about legacy and identity. It felt like Maisie deserved the kind of closure she got, and I love that for her!
I also really love that this wasn't just a typical dinosaur doomsday finale like I was expecting. Yes, at first, I was a bit disappointed haha. But instead, this movie ended on a super hopeful and beautiful note: humans and dinosaurs figuring out how to coexist and move forward together. It honestly felt like a very fitting end to the Jurassic era and one that would make Hammond proud.
The music, the legacy characters, the ever-evolving world. It all still carried that Jurassic Park spirit through every single film. I've truly loved every minute of it this summer. And yes, I know Jurassic World: Rebirth is still out in theatres! I'll be reacting to it to kick off the Summertime Vibes tradition in 2026! Can't wait to see where they went with that one.

Another fantastic reaction, Kali, now that I've finally had time to watch it! I loved this movie as a wrap-up to the Jurassic Universe. (Which of course it isn't, given that JW Rebirth has now been released. But I didn't know that at the time.) I think my favorite Kali line was: "I like her plane. It's giving me Millennium Falcon vibes." π My favorite line of the movie, both when I first saw it and still to this day, was Ian's insult to Dodgson: "...you rapacious rat bastard!" One of the best slams in cinema history! π€£ My only disappointment, Kali, was during the final fight. When the T-Rex came back to consciousness after being stunned, I so wanted to hear you yell, "OG T-Rex! Let's go!" π Like you, I think most of us old school JP fans loved it when the JP and JW crews got together. Also like you, I died inside a little bit back in JP3 when they did the child fake-out to make us think that Alan and Ellie had gotten together. We had to wait 21 years, but we romantics finally got to see the kiss we always wanted! I also *love* the final scenes of dinosaurs and modern animals co-existing! Whether or not it's realistic, it just hits all the right emotional notes. The horses and the parasaurs, the elephants and the styracosaurs, the blue whales and the mosasaur, learning to share their respective ecosystems. Only the last one bothers me a bit, since the mosasaur is an apex predator that has absolutely no equal in the seas. At least the T-Rex family, presumably the only remaining large carnivorous dinosaurs, are confined to BioSyn Valley. For now... Now I'm *really* looking forward to seeing Jurassic World Rebirth!

I still remember watching Fallen Kingdom during a summertime storm rolling through and the vibes were soooo good lol. This entire franchise has a new unlocked special place in my memories and heart. I really loved all of them, truly, in their own different way! And yessss! Glad you're looking forward to and loved the Pirates films! I've been very excited to get into them and have been planning this summertime watch since November π΄ββ οΈβ¨ I hear the music in the films is incredible so I can't wait! See you there!

I've loved all of the movies (even when a few things didn't make sense). Thank you so much for reacting to this series! You always bring a new sense of wonder and compassion to movies, and I love it! Like you, I'm so looking forward to Pirates! I was quite skeptical when the first film was released, figuring it would be yet another Disney cash grab. But I was so wrong! It was a fanciful and fantastic ride that still holds up today. Thank goodness summer isn't over! π¦π΄ββ οΈ
