Andor | Season 1 Episodes 11-12 FINALE | Full Reaction

Wrapping up this first season of Andor had me feeling all of the emotions. This show has been one of the most rewarding Star Wars experiences I've had in my journey so far. Andor truly feels like a masterpiece of storytelling, character work, and tension building. I feel like I've been on a journey not just through the Rebellion's earliest sparks, but through the human heart of Star Wars itself.

Cassian Andor's growth in this first season was beautifully frustrating to watch. He begins as someone who's just trying to survive. Stuck in fight or flight. Constantly running from accountability or attachment. But in these final episodes, we see him finally choosing a side. Not because he is forced to, but because he finally understands what's at stake. It makes his development feel earned in such a satisfying way. And this epic finale finally shows Cassian stepping into the person we knew he'd become!

Luthen might be my favorite character in this entire Star Wars saga. Which sounds crazy, I know. He's this perfect blend of ruthless pragmatism and deep conviction. You never know what cards he has up his sleeve and that makes him such a fascinating figure. His speech about sacrifices still echoes in my head, and the finale only added even more weight to that! He's willing to play the villain in history so that others can be called heroes. And that paradox right there is what makes his character so endlessly compelling.

Mon Mothma has also had me floored this entire season. During this series we see the price she has paid to be the calm, assured leader she is in the later films. The personal sacrifices. The moral compromises. The pain of balancing family against a cause bigger than herself. Watching her navigate politics while her personal life unravels around her is heartbreaking. But it makes her later role in the Rebellion mean so much more.

I think what makes Andor so powerful is that none of these characters are just simple archetypes. They're layered. Flawed. Human. Even Dedra and Syril. The finale brought out all of those threads and pieced them together in such an emotionally satisfying way. This show reminds me that Star Wars isn't best at just battles and lightsabers. There are true lessons within it. Lessons about the cost of freedom. Lessons about finding your place in a galaxy that doesn't make it easy.

Season 1 was everything I hoped for and more. This finale was about setting the stage for the Rebellion, but it also lit a fire in me as a fan. I can't wait to see where these stories go next! See you all in Season 2!

If you think season 1 got you in the feels, just wait til season 2. Same great storytelling with some heartbreaking endings and a couple very positive wrap-ups to character arcs. I won't spoil anything, but you'll see some of them coming and others will blindside you.

totally agree with your favourite underrated character! Brasso is a legend. he has immense strength and, if he chooses to be violent, whoever is on the receiving end is going to have a very bad day. but he is such a kind and gentle soul and will help anyone. honestly, if you get thumped by Brasso then you went the extra mile and you have it coming!

I loved this revisit. I am a HUGE Star Wars fan, but one of the things that I love about Andor is that it's not tonally tied to the rest of the movies. I remember pitching to my wife (who does not really love Star Wars): "Don't think of it as Star Wars - it's a spy thriller with some Game of Thrones-y politics!" - and sure enough after giving it a chance, she LOVED it. Of course, as a Star Wars fan, I love the way it connects to the larger picture as well. Before the Death Star plans, before Luke's shot to destroy it, there was a group of normal people who became heroes in the face of oppression. So many moments in this finale stand out: 1. Bix humming the funeral song was so heartbreaking. Such an amazing performance, from defiant and fiery to so broken. 2. Nemik's manifesto was used so well this season. And it was satisfying to finally hear it, and it felt earned that Cassian's journey was finally influenced by it. 3. Maarva is such a powerful character. Fun fact - when she says "Fight the Empire" at the end, she was originally supposed to say "**** the Empire". Disney cut it lol (understandably given the audience). 4. You called it out in your reaction, but Diego Luna does a great job conveying emotion in his face. 5. Favorite underrated character: Brasso! He's a rock through the whole season and just an unambiguously good dude! I cannot wait for Season 2! Someone pointed out below that it DID win an Emmy for best writing in a drama series last weekend! And there was pretty widespread outcry on some of the acting snubs. You have a lot to look forward to with this show! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Really wanted to watch this yesterday. But given what was happening, it felt a little weird firing up the ol’ Disney app. Even though the theme of the show is very relevant Sorry Kali. I really do want to watch your reaction. Maybe I’ll try again this weekend Oh, and if I’m breaking some rule even bringing up such things, feel free to delete this post Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
