I'd love to know your thoughts about JLC! I feel like I have an... Abnormal relationship with JLC ahaha! Before I was "into" watches, my husband had a JLC Master Control, and I wanted a Rendezvous haha! So I never really thought of JLC as the "Reverso brand". But I know this is the first watch that jumps to a watch geeks mind. Honestly, I don't think they are a one watch brand BUT I hope JLC invests more into their non-reverso lines like they did with the Polaris in 2021. It could even be fun to see them come out with an entirely NEW sports line! IDK! Just some of my thoughts! ^_^ I'd love to hear yours! <3 <3 <3

The JLC looks good on you! The nubuck strap leaves a lot to be desired, though. Do you normally swap straps on a borrowed watch? Hmmmmβ¦β¦. I just got a new strap for my Omega Constellation 41 (blue). A bespoke strap I bought, in glossy dark blue alligator. The strap can make a BIG difference! This is how Omega should offer this watch! Frankly, the alligator-on-rubber factory strap is unattractive. Iβd send a photo if I knew how. That JLC would benefit from a bespoke alligator strap too. Very attractive watch that just needs the right accent! πβοΈπΈ

2023-06-18 13:38:54 +0000 UTCJLC is one of my favorite brands, and honestly I'm kind of glad they haven't become a darling of hype beasts. I think I would be a little bummed out if a JLC watch became something like a Royal Oak or a Nautilus which are treated like a commodity at this point. I personally kind of feel like JLC is exactly where they want to be as a brand, selling watches to enthusiasts. I was also a bit bummed by the price increases of late because it kind of dinged JLC being a brand that offered something at an extremely competitive price point for what you were getting (relatively since this is watches we are talking about). Still pretty golden in my book though.
