Added 2022-05-15 15:33:30 +0000 UTCHey everybody! I wanted to put this out there, to get a feeling for how many of you would be interested in it.
For the next update, I'm considering, in addition to the normal patron-only early access files, having an option for you to play the game on Steam early instead.
So, for those who want to, you would just have to go on Steam and join the beta branch, and put in the password that I would provide, and you would be able to play the update 2 weeks early on Steam, instead of having to download the files separately and play that way.
How many of you would use this option? I assume, if you're playing on Steam already, that you would like this? Let me know.

Come home (and likely my future games as a well) is always going to be available to download drm-free off of Steam. No worries there. And patrons will always get updates first.

I realize this might not be the direction you are going, so I can wait for the updates to become available via Patron at a later time/date .. thanks for all you do ..

2022-05-15 21:13:36 +0000 UTCThere is a workaround in the Come Home discord in the pins of the bugs-and-help channel on how to install adult games on Steam from Germany. Only works for free games though. I'm from Germany and have Come Home installed that way. Can't get the DLCs though, cause they aren't free. Stupid Steam.

2022-05-15 16:48:55 +0000 UTCI think in your steam profile/account you can edit what your friends or other people will see on your profile. if you don't want your friends to know that you have some adult games on steam, just change some settings to private. It's only friendly advice :)

2022-05-15 15:50:22 +0000 UTCI prefer Steam because the updates are easier to keep up with and I don't have to maintain the files myself. However I understand what my friend Klaus-Peter Meier says. That definitely is a dilemma.
