Exactly. George R R Martin himself told in an interview that song of ice and fire is about Dany and all that whitewalker story in the North.

Just a fact from the books. It's not related to House of The Dragon. This is a story that happened a century before the story of Dance of Dragons. During the reign of Jaehaerys Targaryen, before Viserys became the King, Jaehaerys had a sister Rhaena Targaryen. Rhaena had a best friend or lover, Elissa Farman. Elissa had a life goal to sail across the world and see what's west of Westeros. She asked money to her friend Rhaena but Rhaena didn't help. So Elissa decided to steal 3 eggs from Rhaena's dragon, Dreamfyre ( Dreamfyre is the same dragon whose eggs Daemon stole in ep 2, the one Rhaenyra chose for her brother Baelon). Elissa then went to Bravos and sold these 3 eggs there and bought a ships and sailed away. Her story is not known after that. But Targaryens were furious as their eggs were stolen. Jaehaerys sent men to find those eggs. It was later found that some merchant or someone in Essos bought them. Targaryens warned him that if he ever try to hatch them, then Targaryens will bring fire and blood to him. But Targaryens weren't that concerned because they knew those eggs won't hatch without a Targaryen, and that ages will turn them to stones. Guess what happened to those three eggs that turned to stones. I really hope they will show Dreamfyre in House of The Dragon because she's the actual mother of Dany's dragons and I guess she will look structurally similar to Dany's dragons. A mega version of Drogon. She is alive during this time period and Alicent's daughter Helaena is her rider. She claimed Dreamfyre when she was very young. But they never showed that in House of The Dragon so i guess they skipped that story ☹️
