Added 2024-05-09 19:45:04 +0000 UTCWord 8 is a simple word game/activity that helps you wipe away the fog of the morning. The game is extremely simple to pick up and can be played anywhere. It's also simple enough that you can create a game board on the go.
Included you will find a full list of 365 words to last throughout the year!
How to Play
Write the 5-letter word in one of the vertical spots.
Fill in the remaining spots with valid, correctly spelled words (1x 5-letter word, 3x 4-letter words).
For fun: See if you can make a sentence using all 5 words!
Example: A SANE person would SUSS out an AUTO that SOARS through the sky when it should fall like a STONE.

Those are all great ideas! Early releases do tend to be a little less polished and they often get better because of feedback like this. I'll think about getting some of this in before the end of the month!

2024-05-10 02:33:31 +0000 UTCGreat idea, cute daily word puzzle. Would it ruin the look to put a QR code in the center of one of the dark areas or on the card back? It would go right to shenbotmakes.com/word8 to show the current daily starting word. Also, perhaps “gamify” it by scoring 1 point for every different letter on the card. Your previous example would have scored 8 points for AENORSTU. Max score being 14-16 (depending on number of duplicate letters in daily words). What is story behind game name? Thoughts on something like "Daily (Dose of) Diction" or "Crossword over Coffee"?
