Life update, patreon medley update and bonus song
Added 2025-01-17 23:10:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone. I don't know how much I've talked about this on here but we tried for 2 years to have a baby with 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic pregnacy with surgery and everything and kinda thought we would end up with no kids, but eventually after we were approved for IVF Philip (my 2 month old son now :D) was born. I prepared as much as I could, we both did, but it's a loooot of work. It's amazing, but the days fly by and I struggle to get everything I want done. He loves music and falls asleep to my singing a lot, so I get a lot of time for music, but you can't sing as loudly in front of babies so it's mostly all really soft ballads and lullabies. I am writing songs for him to listen to when he's a little older though. Actually more about that later. Anyway, in order to try and get somewhere with this immense world record long medley I've got going, I decided to still include all the 289 songs on the list, but do it in a classic medley fashion and do a part of each song, usually thats 1 verse and 1 chorus. In the past before the baby (pregnancy took a lot of work too as I had to make all the food, wash all the clothes and dishes etc, so time flew there as well) I had way more time, and I thought it'd be like the Disney Album I did for u singing 112 Disney songs in 112 days but realizing now this is gonna take forever if I do it this way. There's one more reason as well, and that's: Patreon is changing things now so soon, u can no longer charge for a creation but each patron is billed whatever tier they opt in to a month, so its like a subscription service like Netflix or a Twitch sub. This patreon is rather small, with a majority of free members and tier 1 members so at this point it was possible to sustain the medley if I could charge per creation (I have to pay my producer Gisha per song and I'm not gonna be that crooked guy underpaying talented people for their work), but when those changes go into effect it'd likely also be really hard to get any progress going on the medley because I'd have to limit the amount of songs I do even more to make it break even. Anyways, with this new format I'm able to hopefully do more songs, get more progress on the medley, and everyone's happy. If you're not happy and you're like "I don't accept this, I want my song in full", you're absolutely in the right, and you can DM me and I'll give you a refund of whatever much you've pledged waiting for the song. If you're cool with the changes then it's all good news because it just means your song will likely be done faster. Of course the medley is still almost 300 songs so it won't be done in 2025, but I'm hoping maybe I'll be able to finish it sometime in 2026. Hard to tell right now with the baby and all. Lastly as I said I do write a lot of songs for my son, and this miiiiight not be that top tier content for you but I think you might like it even though it's in Norwegian. It's a song I wrote about a superhero Microorganism named Ghosty who fights bacteria and makes a shield of slime etc so when he's a little older he gets a very neat and simple introduction to microbiology. It's very 90s like gummy bears/power rangers esque. The kinda themes we grew up with in a way. Ok! That's all. Gisha has almost finished the next few songs so next patreon medley should be next week sometime. I've set time aside to sing 3 songs that we've made into 1 bit. Big hug <3
PS: The Patreon change from creation to monthly subscription should take effect soon, you'll get a notification and I suppose u need to select the tier u wanna select and all. And this Ghosty song will be on Spotify on tuesday, u just get it early. Backingtrack included.

Congratulations and I completely understand as I've been a big supporter of your work since the Kingdom Hearts covers as well as a few other songs that came out almost 12 years ago. You do what you need as the music you make is always worth the wait and we the fans will always be here when you are ready.

I know singing is also important to you but spend as much time with your family as you can, I do not worry for a second about my song. I am forever keeping my subsciption and I wish you guys very very happy (and calm) months and years ahead! Also I would LOOOVVVVE to hear Norwegian lullabies. Listen, music has already taken me to so many places - I've learnt Finnish, German, Italian, Russian, French, Swedish and Indian lyrics, oh not to mention Japanese and Mandarin too. It really doesn't scare us away! :D

2025-01-20 10:46:20 +0000 UTCWhen my wife gave birth to our son, I couldn't help her at all, because there is a huge shortage of medical specialists in Germany and we were all working full-time. I missed the entire first year of my son's life. Not to mention the extreme exhaustion of my wife, who had to cope completely alone, without relatives or friends and even taking on her own urgent patients when necessary. You can only neglect your family if a human life is at stake. Take care of your precious son, rest as much as possible - nothing else is important. All these song covers so far are wonderful and are enough.

2025-01-18 05:03:48 +0000 UTCSorry, I don't understand the details on Patreon well, but I understand that you really had very hard time until having a baby. It seems that you are so busy, but take care of yourself and don't push yourself too hard. Times and days with your baby are so precious! Kids grow up so fast(;_;) Thank you very much for sharing life update!

2025-01-18 00:03:59 +0000 UTCWhile I’m definitely real sad about not getting the full song, take all the time you need, I’m not backing out of my place, I gave that money to you, that’s your money now man. (ngl the song I submitted matters enough to me, that I would be willing to wait for the full song even if it you made it in your 50s, but that’s a really big time commitment). Even though the Patreon change probably won’t affect me that much (I’m set to one video a month for my tier) it sounds quite crappy. :/ The songs for your kid sound fun, whether or not you post them. :) “Even though it’s in Norwegian.” PelleK, I am very supportive of you singing in Norwegian, I love hearing you sing in Norwegian, it’s so cool. (I actually started learning Norwegian for fun, but I discovered I didn’t know English grammar definitions well enough to understand the explanations of the differences in grammar between the two languages, so I kind of stopped.) Big hug. \_(ツ)_/

2025-01-18 00:02:46 +0000 UTCThat song is very Power Rangers-y, love it even tho I don't understand! Being a parent is crazy, a whirlwind of emotions and time goes by soooo quickly! He'll be in nursery before you know it! Slightly gutted about my song, I chose it as a memorial to my hubby but I fully understand, you have to do whats right for you and doing it this way is for sure the right way.
