I think this helps for a few reasons.
First of all, it means I tap into something more universal and human, rather than focusing on features of a franchise etc.
Secondly, it gives me chance to express more of myself in the music.
I still enjoy writing in different ways though and some worlds have very deep lore that is worth exploring.
Anyway. This God of War song is about my son George.
