REBORN: Status Update Act 2

Latest development news...

There's been a lot of rendering over the past week. Mostly animations. Specifically 8. It's a labor intensive process and it takes quite a bit of time. Animation had to do all the same in Daz3d, because to master animation in Blender will take a lot of time. Even more on the adjustment of materials and correct rendering, rather than on the animation itself. I unfortunately don't have that much time due to my day job and additional part-time work.

Honestly, I'm sometimes surprised how I still have the energy to sit around after working on the game. But the answer is pretty simple. It's passion. I love what I do. I love creating and bringing to life things that just didn't exist before.

But I've gotten a little distracted. Let's get on with the news.

I also wrote the story code with the already finished renders up to the stage that the story render was ready.

As you already know, the release on Steam will be in March, so I've been preparing the first act for release and have been making some minor changes due to comments from Steam moderators. There was actually one very tense moment. They got suspicious of Keylee's character, supposedly she's under 18. And I got tense. I heard that Steam might block the game because of that, but luckily everything was fine and after a little communication with Steam support I was given the go-ahead to publish the game.

Some people asked me why I should even put the game on Steam.

First of all, it's advertising. I don't know how many players will buy and play the game, but at least someone will know about it.

Secondly, finances. With experience I began to realize that it's very difficult to sponsor development with my own money. Especially now. The equipment is getting old, and because of my job I can't fully engage in the project. That's why I need financial support from players who care.
