New Cosplay: My D&D Character!

I've started working on a new cosplay — and it's something a little different for me! In part because it's my own original character (my D&D character, an elf warlock) and in part because this is going to be less "make a single costume" and more "make a collection of garments that my character would own, which can be worn in different combinations."

While I had a strong idea of what Aisling looked like, I was struggling with figuring out her clothing, so I commissioned toughtink (who also designed my winter Jester!) to help me conceptualize. She worked with me to create a moodboard and refine my ideas, and then sketched up a bunch of thumbnail concepts.

Aisling's hair changes with the seasons, so I wanted her clothing's color scheme (and coverage) to change with the seasons as well. I took a few of my favorite thumbs that Kelsey provided and layered some rough color over them to guide me:

I'll be starting to put together costume pieces for this character over the next week or so, because I have a "meet my D&D character" video coming up in the first week of November, but you can expect to see this design expanded on and developed a lot over the long term! I hope you guys will get to know and love her the way that I do. <3
