First Look: Jaskier!

This is only a "first look" if you don't follow me on Twitter, because I felt I owed my Twitter followers a conclusion to the high stakes drama of my work-in-progress thread yesterday!

Here's what happened: I had been in talks with a local gaming store, The Gaming Goat, about filming part of my "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher" video in one of their gaming rooms! I had already had to reschedule because getting sick prevented me from recording the song when I originally intended, so when I finally got the audio laid down on Tuesday, I got back in touch to schedule filming. Their best day was Thursday, so that meant I had one day to get my Jaskier costume finished! (For context, all I had done was the undershirt and some of the origami-style inserts for the doublet.)

In the interest of motivation, I started an ongoing progress thread on Twitter yesterday at around 9:30am. Over the course of the following seventeen hours, I made about 95% of this costume. I went to bed at 2:30am, and then woke up at 8am to get ready to film! Needless to say, I'm going to take a restful weekend, haha.

One final fun note before I head off to excitement-edit the photos from today: Joey Batey, who plays Jaskier in the Witcher show, liked my cosplay!! AHH!!
