Just a few of the images from my shoot for the postcard! This apron is... just wildly unflattering 😅 But it was fun having a new prop for her!

I made the bone saw in one night based on an actual 1600s amputation saw (although, since Elli is a battlefield medic, I made hers a lot more rustic!) This was mid-blizzard, so if any of you saw my Instagram stories where I bundled up, shoveled my way through a foot and a half of snow, and blow-dried my spray paint in the garage... that was for this!

I'm finalizing the postcard design as we speak, and I'm really excited about it!! I actually commissioned Jesse Jerdak (my friend and also one of my DMs) to build Elli's stat block based on my ideas, since the mechanical parts of D&D creation have always been my weak point — I'm more of a narrative creator. I just wanted to share one of Elli's special skills with you as a little sneak preview:

Bonesaw Melee weapon Attack
+5 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit: (1d6 +4) slashing damage
On a hit, target must succeed on a DEX 14 save or suffer a deep wound, taking an additional 1d6 slashing damage.

This is actually Elli's only offensive attack. All her other actions, reactions, and bonus actions are centered on nonmagical healing/aid for her party, which I think will make her a really fun NPC to tag along with the party for a while.
