Stories Cut Short - by Annika

Five years ago this month, I started Stories Cut Short to commemorate victims of gun violence in the United States. I began this project in the wake of the Pulse shooting and the shooting of Christina Grimmie, out of a desire to do some small thing to make a difference in this fight, and to remember and humanize and put a face to some of the thousands of people who lose their lives on the wrong end of a gun every year. Every single day, I tell the story of someone who was killed by gun violence -- their life, not just their death. The things their friends loved about them, the hobbies they enjoyed, the dreams they had for their future. I've written over 1800 of these posts, and I don't plan to stop any time soon. It's a challenging project sometimes, but I'm proud of the work I've done.

Doty, Take This Down - by Scott Maitland

Ginny's note: Another mindblowingly ambitious and coordinated community masterpiece from the Cantata Pansophical! You guys are BEASTS.

The second fan musical I mentioned in my Spotlight last year has been released, setting the Taryon Darrington arc of Critical Role to music from Dear Evan Hansen.  I had a relatively small part in making this one, but I'm proud of how it came out.

Mit Ganzem Willen & Rita and the Birds - by Paul Butler

Ginny's note: You are a true bard!! I cannot BELIEVE how many instruments you play — and all so beautifully.

Managed to get together TWO music videos this month.  The first is a 15th century medieval instrumental piece on historic instruments called "Mit Ganzem Willem" and the other is an original harp piece I originally wrote for my mom called "Rita and the Birds."

This month I added Caduceus to my amigurumi Critical Role line up! I'm working on designing the whole set: Yasha's up next.

I finally got to perform again this month after lockdown! With my ensemble No Piece of Wood we performed a program inspired by avant garde singer Cathy Berberian! It felt amazing to be on stage again :)

My friends and I have officially launched our D&D actual play show! It's called Play Dicely and I play Nell Amarra, a half-goliath/half-elf Paladin. This group has been incredible to play with and the story so far is fascinating!
