"Songs to Drown Sailors To" — Today's the day!

TODAY'S THE DAY! "Songs to Drown Sailors To," my new original EP of mermaid songs, launches with a brand-new music video.

The Album

By noon today (maybe earlier! these things can be a little unpredictable from platform to platform) you'll be able to buy or stream to "Songs to Drown Sailors To" on all major streaming platforms! The album has six tracks — one of them is "Jolly Sailor Bold" from last summer, but the other five are brand new, all-original songs!

Remember, all patrons will receive mp3s of the entire album for free as a part of the zine! More on that in a moment.

The Music Video

To kick off the album launch, I'm releasing a music video for one of the tracks today! It's called The Wave-Soaked Maiden and it will be premiering at noon MT on my YouTube.

Don't be fooled by this sea shanty's jaunty tune! It's a dark tale of a fisherman who overestimated a mermaid's mercy. I've been hard at work for weeks on this video alongside an incredible cast of collaborators and helpers, and I think it's my best music video yet! I can't wait to share it with you. Hope to see you in the live chat at the premiere!

The Listening Party

Tonight at 7pm MT I'll be hosting a Patron-exclusive livestreamed listening party! Together, we'll listen through all the tracks in order and I'll answer questions and talk a little about how each song came together.

I'll post a link to the livestream here on Patreon about half an hour beforehand. You'll need a YouTube account to participate in chat. If you can't make it, you'll have the option to watch the VOD afterwards!

The Zine

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on the layouts for the special offer zine! The digital version will be available on Friday (including the mp3 downloads for the album). Print versions will go out in the mail during the first week of September.
