Added 2021-09-26 15:43:10 +0000 UTCHey friends! Taking a moment on this extremely busy weekend to share some quick stills from a sponsored Instagram video coming this week — this is Zara the Monster Mage from the Battlezoo Kickstarter.
Sponsorship hat off, this is just my real feelings: I think the "monster parts" system from this Kickstarter is super fuckin cool. Basically, mechanics that allow you to use the body parts from the monsters you kill to craft custom weapons, armor, and items. This is something that I feel like me and my friends are always TRYING to do in games, and the DM always just has to kind of... figure out how to make that work. Anyway, I think it's really awesome and I like how this look came out, too! I custom painted a dragon skull from Target and also made the headpiece for this (the purple bit — the antlers are from Yaya Han!)
Also, this HUGE ponytail was kind of an experiment and it worked really well, so I'm thinking about making a quick little tutorial for it! It's two different wigs and a plastic ornament, and I combined them in a quick, fully reversible way, so neither wig is damaged. Would learning that be interesting to you? Let me know!!
