PAX Unplugged!

We head home tomorrow from Philadelphia, where we just finished PAX Unplugged! I’m still building my convention stamina back up, so I definitely feel like I could’ve done a lot more, but what we did do was wonderful. I got to meet some folks I’ve so far only known online, made some new friends, got to host the Q&A panel for the McElroy brothers, participated in a great panel about TTRPG music, and of course we reconnected with our GenCon besties: the Dungeon Dudes and their partners! 🥰

I’ve been feeling super burnt out and exhausted lately, and while I definitely need the rest and downtime that the holidays will offer me, it was also really impactful to get to connect with other creators and talk shop, share our fears and hopes, compare ideas and solutions, and just generally feel understood and heard. I have so many new ideas and strategies and perspectives I want to take into my work next year.

For those of you I got to meet — thank you for stopping to say hi!! It always means so much to get to look into the eyes of a real human person who finds my work inspiring, entertaining, or instructional. ❤️

Yay!! I'm glad you got a chance to enjoy the city and I hope you have a safe flight home 😊

We had an extra day before flying home, so we got to see the museum and check out a few restaurants that were further from the convention center!

The picture with you and the Dungeon Dudes is super cute! Sounds like a really fun convention (and also helpful from a business standpoint).

If you want a piece of pizza as big as your head, hit up Lorenzo’s (Lorenzo and Sons) on South Street!

Bubba, the Pale One

So glad you had a great time! Also glad you and the Dungeon Dudes got to meet up and hang out a bit. You and them are one of my favorite DnD people to follow.

I'm glad you had a great time at Pax, and I hope you get a chance to do some site seeing while you're in Philly. Old City is beautiful, and there are lots of great little restaurants in around market street and 2nd.

Some really nice group photos there 👍👍
