Denver Animal Shelter Shoot
Added 2023-04-23 14:33:49 +0000 UTCI was reminded during yesterday's streams that I never shared the full shoot with Denver Animal Shelter here!
Last fall, I got together with some volunteers at my local animal shelter to shoot some fantastical photos with some adoptable animal companions for a little promotion around the D&D movie launch. (They also created character sheets for some adoptable dogs!)
All the animals from this shoot have homes now, but DAS is always full of animals who need care, support, and adopters. They provide a ton of services to the community beyond caring for adoptable animals, like their team of Animal Protection Officers who are on call to perform furry welfare checks or help owners recover loose pets, and their Safe Haven program, where for up to 4 weeks, they will house and feed pets belonging to folks experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or other challenging circumstances so their pet can be taken care of while they get things figured out.
If you have a few extra dollars floating around, they have an Amazon Wishlist where you can purchase toys, leashes, collars, treats, medical supplies, and even some Stranger Things memorabilia for their upcoming Stranger Things-themed fundraising event in October (where I'll be doing photo ops & signings!)
