The Future of ComicBookBabe's Mp3's

I'm shaking typing this, and it's still in a word processor nowhere near posting it on the web, but I'm nervous, cause this could really make or break me.
I've been looking into other voice actresses and their rates, their success, their fandoms, and well to say that I'm low on the totem pole compared to a lot of them, is an understatement, and I want what they have. I even looked over the numbers of my bandcamp over the years and they have definitely taken a plunge. They seemed to be the highest when I was releasing what I called my bandcamp Calender Girls. I'd release a free MP3 every month with its length in direct relationship with how much I had made that month through bandcamp sales.
I currently have two ways of making income Comicbookbabe and another Profile through Niteflirt which can be very lucrative, but is so very boring and almost the polar opposite of comicbookbabe. (The money has also been less and less over the past couple years.) They are so opposite, that I don't even want to tell you what it encompasses cause I know that just the mention of the fetishes has a way of scaring away potential listeners. Things have gotten so frustrating with the profile that I have been trying to find ways of building up the comicbookbabe side so I don't need to work her side any more. But if I dump her now, comicbookbabe could hardly keep the internet running much less keep a roof over my head.
I wanted to ask you what I should do, because you are my audience, and if there's anything a performer like myself doesn't want to do, it's dishonor my audience. I want to keep you coming back and supporting me, supporting my work, I want you to have a hand in the direction of my work and be happy with the direction it goes. So I'm looking to change things up.
When I look over some of the profiles that are much more successful than me it boils down to one thing, access of content. I think that's what is holding me back is that all of my content is behind a paywall If there is any proof of this, it's the Calendar girls, when I was putting out free, constant content, I was making at least twice as much as now.
Here are the ideas I have:
- Don't change a thing, just keep doing what you're doing and hope that word of mouth and your poor advertising skills bring in more customers eventually, they have to right?
- Add some expensive tiers to patreon giving you more options for more content such as the extensive comicbookbabe library, or any of the files released on bandcamp that Month.
- Bring back calendar girls, twice as much is still better than where you are now even if it's still not enough to achieve your goals. And free content could bring in a lot more customers. There would be a slight increase in custom prices outside of patreon to cover the cost of the free files.
- Release a membership option on bandcamp, this is one of the goals I was hoping to reach through patreon, I'd start up a membership option where you could pay maybe $27.99/month and have access to nearly a decade of MP3's just like any other membership site. You'll still be able to purchase the files individually as well.
- Open up a streaming option for all the files on bandcamp, you would be able to stream any file on bandcamp for FREE, but you'd still have to purchase the file for download, this would double the price of customs at least.
- Release all my Mp3's to freely download, everything I make would eventually be free and readily available to download. This would make any custom file skyrocket at least 5 times as expensive as they are now.
- Any combination of options? Like calender girls and membership, or whatever combination you think would be best.
Here's the thing, if I release my files for free and I don't get any custom work that could be the end of comicbookbabe MP3's I don't want that, and I don't think you want that either, I'm not looking to quit this, quite the opposite really, but if no money is coming in, there's no real reason to continue.
Here is one thing I'm looking to change with or without your input, at least one new bandcamp file a week whether or not it's a custom file.
I know that this sounds like I'm looking to change a lot, but here are somethings I'm not intending to change right now.
- Patreon, - I'm enjoying having a membership site, not matter how weak the income and interacting with you.
- Live Work - You've been playing with me on skype audio/Niteflirt? That's great! Let's continue to do that!
So there it all is laid out for you, vote on Patreon, leave a comment, do both, just let me know what direction you'd like to see the MP3 distribution take.
Thanks! Lets make things better for us all!
