2023-10-30 23:57:20 +0000 UTCI unfortunately saw this sad outcome for Uplands a mile away, especially since the Gundry Asylum suffered the same fate back in 2021:( We do such a piss poor job of preserving historical buildings in this country! Most are either unceremoniously bulldozed or left in a derelict state until the arsonist’s torch reduces them to ashes. No doubt the cookie-cutter development that likely will be built on the sight of the mansion will be bereft of any of the architectural qualities that made Mary Frick Garret Jacob’s summer home so appealing. What a damn shame!!!
