2024-04-27 13:36:00 +0000 UTCI still think it might have been a bear. Bears can walk on two legs, appear extremely large and can have a red eyeshine at night. I know the men in the original story said that it couldn't have been a bear, and black bears, which are found in Maryland, don't get as big as the size this creature was described as, but its hard to guess the exact height of something just by looking. Also, sometimes sick or malformed animals can look very different than the typical members of their species, sometimes to the point of being unrecognizable. For example, there are pictures online of a bear who'd lost a significant amount of fur, and if the caption hadn't identified it as a bear, I might not have guessed it to be one. Then again who knows, maybe I'm just being too skeptical and maybe it was Bigfoot after all.
