2024-05-11 13:53:50 +0000 UTCI'd expect the lack of cutting is a cost saving exercise dressed up as environmental conservation - a lot of authorities in the UK are letting parks and church yards go wild because they don't have the money to maintain the lawns and beds. It rather suits the West in 2024 to leave its public spaces looking a mess, I think.

While I don’t personally think burial is a good idea, I do recognize the eerie beauty of the old headstones, memorials, etc. They are very striking and moving.
