THE PODCAST Ep. 2.5 / Massages and Strict Parents
Added 2024-06-16 12:19:36 +0000 UTCSal and I discuss our experiences in massage parlors. We play clips from "World's Strictest Parents." We get political listening to Trump talks about batteries and sharks. Dog the Bounty Hunter threatens to give Dylan Mulvaney "two black eyes" while being interviewed on a christian television show. Sal's dog throws up live. Enjoy!

I had to replay the part where Sal’s dog throws up. It was hilarious considering what you guys were discussing.

2024-06-20 05:17:57 +0000 UTCDan sounded like Paul Lynde when he was talking like the gay parents on the reality show. Also, I love these Dan & Sal podcasts.

2024-06-19 08:50:50 +0000 UTCAll these people, and the freaks who watch shit like this and yell at their TV "Yeaaa, You git em'!" are people who are most upset that they cant larp as a defacto authority figure just because they're the oldest person in the room. These people, like in these shows, are self righteous tyrants and are morally outraged not at anything else other than "disrespect" to authority. Its the same sicko mentality cops have when they beat and kill people for "disrespecting me!"

2024-06-18 17:14:52 +0000 UTCNgl, seriously thought about skipping this one, knowing that I might get triggered by the “strictest parent” segment (yeah, I’m a snowflake). But Dan, hearing you and Sal blast the ever loving crap out of those despicable parents and the “scared straight” degenerates was incredibly cathartic. When you grow up the way I did, you see a lot of nods of approval from outsiders who happen to witness…stuff… that goes on. They rationalize or turn a blind eye to pretty much anything that doesn’t land a kid in the hospital, and it’s a gutless, cowardly mindset that needs to end. Hearing that people like you are disgusted and creeped out by these overgrown bullies gives me hope; maybe our species is staring to evolve after all.

2024-06-18 16:37:38 +0000 UTCWhat is a middle ground Democrat? A Reagan Republican? You cant be a centrist between fascists and corporate center-rightists. Both Biden and Trump are treating undocumented workers in a way that Reagan and Bush Sr. would have found appalling and monstrous. There is literally a debate between Reagan and Bush, from 1980, where both are competing with each other on who has the more compassionate solution. Neither would have ever dared to suggest child concentration camps, barbed wire traps, vigilante gangs, starvation and dehydration, and a completely useless wall that requires the government seizure of miles of private property to build it. Even though 90% of undocumented immigrants come here in a plane. Going back, what exactly would a middle ground Democrats stance be on decreasing the nearly trillion dollar a year defense budget? Or supporting the Iraq War? Or bailing out Wall Street? Because the farthest right wing republicans voted the same exact way as the democrats did on those 3 things. Statistics have shown over the past 6 years that almost every single middle ground/centrist democrat lost. Nobody gets excited for another rich country club white man who thinks the only problem with bombing brown children is that we should have had a woman commit the psychotic mass murder instead. Every centrist Dem takes bribes from all the same oligarchs and banks and crooks and is a complete coward on every social issue until support for it becomes popular by a majority of voters. I remember when centrist dems were saying "Black lives matter, and all lives matter" because they were too chickenshit to take a stand. Well a Dem saying All Lives Matter will only appeal to right wing racists who will never vote for them. The only reason they'd exist is because they are being financed to run by a group of elites. You cant be "passionate" about being a centrist. People like that arent going to change anything, theyre just going to pat themselves on the back for how they managed the destruction. They exist solely to be propped up as a front runner during a primary to drown out the grassroots progressive candidates, so some "commoner" or "employee" doesnt get into their club. And when they do buy a victory in the primary, they lose almost a majority of the time and hand the seat to a republican. Which is totally fine with them and their financiers. As long as it isnt some progressive who wants to enact communist legislation like raising the minimum wage for the first time in 14 years.

2024-06-18 10:20:03 +0000 UTCWhat scares me is this. My neighbor likes trump. He thinks the last election was stolen. He is dead set thinks it will be a fact that if trump loses this time again then that’s proof the election was stolen last time and stolen again smh. The reason we never have had it written into the constitution is because never in a million years would we ever think that someone we choose to be the leader of the free world and to represent freedom and liberty would be someone who is a liar. At least not so blatantly lol. I’ve always wondered how accurate those polls are because I always think to myself well I didn’t vote in that poll. I’m a voter and pay attention and so if I didn’t vote in a poll or don’t even hear about a poll or know where to go to vote in said poll than there’s probably a ton of other people like me who don’t either. I am disappointed that early on after Biden was elected that they didn’t start holding up a new up and coming middle ground democrat for the next president.
